Does anybody read the comments on news sites?

I usually try to avoid looking at the reader comments that follow news articles (seriously, they're like black holes of internet wisdom), but sometimes when I'm bored I'll take a cautious peek just for my own amusement.
Today I was reading an old article on Wired, and ran into this gem that was just so hilariously bad, I had to add it to my "Atrocious Quotes" collection... which I just now started... in my head
...They don't use horizontal take offs like planes because there is not enough run way. Think about how long the run way is for a commercial plane and that is just to get to about 30,000 feet. They need more power to get through the entire atmosphere and still be able to be propelled through space for a bit...
I think I just facepalmed so hard that I gave my forehead carpal tunnel.

This isn't a comment but a reaction video to a statement Kirsten Stewart released on some celebophile website that she cheated on Robert Pattinson.

    No.. it's not fake

This reminds me: RL probably should link their homepage from the forums.

And no: I don't read what illiterate kids have to say.
