    Easy recipes that impress

Most of us here are guys, and most of us want to impress the ladies, even if she's your wife. There are lots of ways to do that, but few things are more effective than producing a marvel from the kitchen. I've got some very easy recipes that anyone can do in a very short amount of time. I'll start by sharing one, but I want to hear yours, if you've got one.

    "Eclair Cake"
    necessary ingredients are in bold

-line 9x13 glass dish with graham crackers
-mix two 3oz boxes of instant vanilla pudding with 3 cups of milk. Beat until thick.
-Fold 8 oz of cool whip into pudding. Mix together and poor over graham crackers.
-Add another layer of graham crackers on top.

    Chocolate Topping
-Heat 3T (T = tablespoons) milk and 4T butter. Stir until melted together
-Remove from heat. Stir in 3T baking cocoa and 1 1/2 C powdered sugar.
-Poor mixture over the top of the pudding/graham crackers.
-Cool until chocolate topping is hard.
-Bask in a lasting glow of adoration.

My own fajita spice mix blend makes enough for 3 or 4...

    1 tspn Coriander Powder
    3-4 tspns Smoked Paprika
    1/2 tspn Cumin
    1/2 tspn Demerera Sugar,
    1 tspn Black Pepper
    1/2 tspn Sea Salt
    1 tspn Cornflour
    1 tspn Onion Powder
    A bit of Oregano
1 tspn Tomato Powder (if you can get it, if not just use a bit of tomato puree after the meat has cooked but before you add the spice mix.

Garlic (loads) again after the meat has cooked but before the spice mix goes in.

I have a habit of putting the bread in the toaster then going back upstairs and forgetting about it...
