How has your birthday changed for you over the years?

See, today is my birthday. I have no idea what I might be getting from anyone because I stopped asking for specific presents a few years ago. The reasons are simple; A. I'm really content in my life right now, and couldn't ask for more. and B. I have no clue what I'd even want if I did ask for something.

Have you guys hit that point where birthdays just aren't the same anymore? What is it all about for you? Presents? Partying? Friends and Family? Do you not celebrate at all? Do you still ask for stuff for your birthday?

To be honest, I hate my birthday I hate people who don't give a crap about me normally writing on my Facebook wall pretending to be my best friend. I really don't like feeling pressurised to show all my friends and family how happy I am all day long. Basically, being the centre of attention is really not for me so that probably why I don't like them now that I'm older. I used to love them as a kid though mind

Yeah, just turned 19 (7th) and birthdays are "just another day" now. I guess the little bit of money, socks, and smellies I receive are good, but it's the events/activities that I like most about birthdays now.

Going for drinks is my personal favourite

    EDIT: oh and cards

    Thank you goldfinch!

Just an update, I didn't ask for anything for my birthday but I got everything I could have ever wanted.

I was surrounded by people I love, and my girlfriend surprised me with tickets to a College Football game (American football.) My favorite team, The Oregon Ducks (hence the signature I use on here.) And a collection of cards with messages written by a bunch of different people.

I'm like you guys, my birthday is kind of just another day. But this birthday was so much better than usual.
