Hey, it could've been worse, you could have accidentally hit Back.

Played some moar ninjas today, notably passed Futility, Quilinja, and The Hard Way. I have absolutely no clue how that track was possible in HD

Edit: I think THW is one of my favorite ninjas. It was challenging - it took me 3 runs to finish - but not frustratingly so, I always felt like I was making progress because the difficulty was well spread throughout the obstacles.

I also went back to attempt Lynx Lake Gecko but I still couldn't do that second to last obstacle

I may as well have done - that 10 minutes I lost meant I had no chance of completing it, and I reckon I would have if I had more time. And on one attempt I actually did press 'back', which was, like, really great.

Congrats on those tracks, and thanks for playing Futility lol. I dunno what I would think of it if I played that now. THW is really good - like you say there's a good degree of difficulty similarity (except for the uhh.. 3rd checkpoint I think it is. That one's super hard). I'm suprised you're having trouble with that bit of LLG, I personally found that checkpoint pretty much the easiest bit on the original LLI (where its a lot harder), and once I even did it literally first go. What is it you have trouble with? There's quite a lot of leniancy in the second backwards bunny hop.. you can even pretty much rest of it then lean backwards and fly yourself towards the ledge.

3rd obstacle is the barrel into fender hook, which I just cheesed by pushing the barrel off the platform >.> I was able to get it the intended way, but it was waaay less consistent.

With LLG I think the core of the problem is that I have a hard time getting the jump off the wall into a reverse bunny hop (it's not particularly hard, I'm just bad at it), so I burn through a lot of time just setting myself up to get onto that ramp, which I haven't gotten to enough to really figure out. I mean, I know what I have to do, but implementing that is another story. Bounce obstacles in general aren't my friend, and that in combination with a unique obstacle that I haven't figured out the muscle memory for gives me a world of problems. Even going back to when I was working on LLN, I had a ton of trouble with this obstacle; it doesn't play to my strengths.

I generally get through obstacles by throwing myself at it until something clicks, and if I can't do that I struggle to figure it out.

    Re: NINJA Track Thread.

3rd checkpoint = 4th obstacle. (like usually is on most tracks, which is what Danners meant i think)

That small bounce climb on THW is one of those grueling obstacles that you can never seem to get first try but becomes instanteously easier after restarting checkpoint, because you're in the same unshifted position everytime so your approach becomes natural, muscle memory triggered, if you will. I have only passed that specific obstacle on first try an handful of times in hundreds of 0 fault attempts on THW.

I really want to get back to AM-3 but i cannot take my eyes off the RoD tracks. Im not even done speedrunning the first set of the tracks...lol. Best DLC pack since Big Thrills on HD.

    Oh, I just misread it.

Idk I didn't think that one was too bad, I burned through a fair number of faults on it sure, but it didn't strike me as particularly challenging.

@dan on cp5, its actually possible to do the flip off the wall, land on your back tire on the orange plank and then hop to the purple plank. I know its not supposed to work, but i can get it to happen maybe 3/5 times

    Re: NINJA Track Thread.

Yeah I know thanks, aBzx MagiiK pointed that out to me and I fixed it in the full track. Checked over everything completely twice just before I uploaded so nothing was wrong lol, and I still missed a texture glitch at the start of CP3 that I fixed on the individual but forgot about in the full one.

@Penguin - the jump off the wall is a LOT easier on the Gecko than it is on Inferno, I actually found myself overshooting it quite a lot. I did have a problem getting a good bounce off it on Inferno but I think what I did that helped was to make sure you land as vertically against it as you can. And with the Gecko you can get a mean bounce off it, just bunny hop off away from the wall after landing straight.. I think that's the best advice I can give, but I can't properly remember.

Yeah I'd like to see that ^

Weeeeeeelllllll I just got up to the last checkpoint on Maborosi in 12 minutes.. and then timed out. Hands down the worst feeling I've ever gotten from playing this game.
