    Re: NINJA Track Thread.

If anyone is interested I'm releasing a level 2 (Variatise!) in about 10 mins. Nothing special,as you would expect from me, but I think I'm getting better at creating obstacles. It's all front/back tire stuff and Gecko only. Hope you all enjoy

I still need to pass Cough & Cringe as well. I remember timing out at the ramp to steep incline to overhang(?) 3 times when it was first released, don't even think that's half way through the track
Think I'll try again sometime this week

Watch my run on Gold Ninja (still in the 48hr feed, i think), see the part where i jump the long gap and my back tire doesnt make it, but i am still able to lift it and keep goin? You need to apply that exact same approach on the barrel by landin on top of it with the bike's engine, then using your weight shift to swing forward to lift your back tire high enough just to get over the edge.

When you make it, you can sit on the barrel and regain your composure and make your next jump, etc. Just make sure not to fall back off it.
Will do. Thanks for all the help Retribution.

Pretty mad right now. Got to the barrel in 10 minutes and then it took me 16 minutes and 150 faults to FINALLY get over it with the most amazing luck you will ever see. then I only had 4 mins to do the last bunny hopping part, and yes you guessed it. Timed out. STILL didn't pass the track. Really put off from giving it another go now.

    Re: NINJA Track Thread.

Watch replays of Cough'N'Cringe to work out how to do that barrel properly. It's not actually that bad. I find it helps to lean right before going off at the bottom and heading up. When you're on the top of the barrell that you start that bit on, you can lean right (which makes the back tyre kind of actually go off the barrell a bit, but it's OK as long as you then straight away lean left again and go for it), and then as soon as your front tyre gets on top of that barrell it's just all about the little brake-tap to throw yourself forwards up onto it. Once you're up there the rest isn't bad at all, although I remember the first couple times I did it I was half-panicking from actually getting up there and then messed up the next bit. You'll get it eventually.

Also Bazinga, that last parts not bad at all because there's a thing about cylindrical objects and that is that you can actually rest on them and still go off just fine. Almost every cylinder-to-cylinder obstacle you'll find can be done from a resting point on the object itself, it's actually quite rare you'll find one that requires you to bounce off them appropriately. Maybe test it out in the editor to see what I mean, but you can literally just keep the bike on it and then gradually let the back tyre move to the left side of the object and still bunny hop off it just fine. The logs at the end of C'n'C let you do this (at least for the most part I think). I'm not suggesting doing this for every log (although maybe you can) but if you think you've messed up just re-position the bike on the log and carry on. It's a prettttty useful technique .

They're both cool but I particularly liked 'Variate!' - got it down to 1 fault. It's annoying as well 'cos that 1 fault was just me messing up and leaning too far forward as I approach a checkpoint, and not really 'cos I messed up on an obstacle. Bah.

Passed it! Sorry for all the posting about it I'm sure you guys don't care but I'm happy I passed it.

    176 Faults, 15:47.445
I guess I could Improve that time by a lot. Now I know how to do each obstacle.

Thanks alot to Retribution, A7XForever and DannersMac for the great tips which helped me pass it.

Congratulations! It's a great feeling to finally pass the finish line of a track you've been trying for ages.

    Thanks! Yeah it is haha.

Just tried to improve my terrible time, got to the Bunny Hopping part in 54 faults. Finished in 119. I suck so bad at bunnyhopping.

    Re: NINJA Track Thread.

Ouch, that sucks. CP6 can proper get you once you get up to it though. The majority of the faults in my run were actually from that obstacle. I would've probably timed out on it but I managed to nail the bunny hop at the end first go think.. maybe second go). Thanks for continuing to try though! I reckon it's the second hardest track on Evo (minus yours and A7x's impossible tracks lol). TeLaRix actually messaged me earlier saying he'd passed it as well, so you're not alone in giving it a few goes.

The track I'm making at the moment is hilariously difficult. I just then finished making the 3rd obstacle, and there's a bit in it that I've never seen before (nor even sure I thought it would have been possible), so it should be interesting for anyone who wants to dare give it a go.

I played your new track earlier and gave up at about the 20 minute mark on like, maybe the 4th obstacle or something. I might try again later but I'm quite in the track-making mode at the moment.

Thanks! Just saw your replay, that was pretty unlucky. Nice run anyway!
Not sure why I rated it hard when it is clearly an extreme though

Is that the ramp to the green planks? I timed out there as well (With almost 25 mins left). I just couldn't find the right technique, no replays for a bit of guidance either.
@Clutch how many obstacles are there? Might give it another shot later
