Yeah that one, I hate those types too but I can pass them, it's just that there is no room to get your front wheel over it

The thing that I learned about overhang obstacles that helped me immensely is that you should not start the brake tapping right away. If you do, then you will be gassing it on the underside of the overhang which will send you backwards instead of over the obstacle. If you hold the brake until you are sure that your rear tire will not be in contact with the underside of the overhang and then start the brake tapping you should find much more success with this type of obstacle. I hope this helps.

    Re: NINJA Track Thread.

Just tried Cough and Cringe again using your tip A7X, I timed out and had about 411 faults. I managed to get over the lip about 10 times in the 350 odd faults I just got on that checkpoint, but the next bit is just as hard and I never beat the checkpoint.

I've now had over 1000 tries at that 1 part and still not beat it

-DonRene: I tried to watch your replay but it was broken and you kept faulting before the 1st checkpoint

Don't worry you'll pass it eventually, i timed out 5 times on that track and now i have 23 faults ( I improved tonight, from 41 faults ).
For the 3rd check point: try to go front wheel first ,while leaning back, into the curved ramp and lift the throttle when you gap between the box and the ramp - brake when you reach the top. This is the most consistent method i could find. It' s also used by Retribution in his 0 fault run.

    Re: NINJA Track Thread.

Ahh yes the infamous overhang obstacle...believe it or not, it took me a long, long time to get the hang of it through ALOT of trial and error but when i did, i was able to 0 fault Cough & Cringe and Execution with confidence.

It all starts with how you land on the curved ramp- you will want to get in a position where you can gas it goin up with the front tire off the ramp but your weight shifting forward. When my back tire hits the overhang, i hold brake for a split second to get a lunging forward momentum, then i tap brake while holding gas to balance myself until both tires are grounded. Some guys may do it differently, but those are the consistent results that i am most comfortable with.

When you watch a replay that has those obstacles passed, watch it in slow motion- 1)look at how the rider lands on the ramp, 2)watch how much gas he uses, 3)when does he shift his weight, 4)what position is he in when the back tire hits the overhang, 5)the timing of using the brake for the lunge forward momentum (holding, then tapping).

If you play C & C again, get to the 3rd checkpoint and practice as much as you can, even if you pass the obstacle, press B and keep at it until you have it locked up in your muscle memory. You'll know youre ready when you pass it 5, 10 times in a row WHILE focusing on setting yourself up for the next obstacle without stopping. If you need help with anything else, be sure to let us know. Theres always a ninja lurkin on these boards.

23 Faults! Nice! - I will try that method then, Thanks! - I'll give it another few goes tomorrow.

Firstly, thanks so much for the detailed advice! - I try to imitate amazing runs such as your 0 fault run, but 95% of the replays are broken on that track for me. I think on your run you fault before the lip so I can't watch it in slow-mo(Anyone know a way to fix replays?)

But, with you guys' great tips I will keep trying till I master it. I will let you guys know if I need help with anything again, thanks.(Do all the top Ninjas post here?) Although, I am confident that once I'm past that checkpoint I should have no Major problems with the remaining obstacles.

Try deleting then redownloading the track. That will usually fix replays.

Watch out for the boxes obstalcle, it's harder than it looks. I timed out once on it after getting there with 50-ish faults.

Most ninjas do post in here as far as i know, with the exception of TBN but he should answer any questions you may have via Xbox Live messages or his newly created Evo ninjas website.

If deleting and redownloading the track does not work, here are a few replays you can watch-

    Murdoc Loch's run on C & C
    MISACCUSED's run on C & C
    My run on C & C
