Awesome. Thanks to everyone by the way for playing Maborosi so much, I'm surprised how much people seem to like it.
And on that subject: @xChoky - Congrats man! 2 faults on cp3 might be the fastest anyone's ever got past it.
That sucks about losing your stuff. Do what I do and have a secondary save that you save every once in a while so something like that can't happen. In regards to the slowdown it could be for a couple other things besides just having physics on. Is there a lot of moving stuff besides the physics, or lots of events/effects/whatever other logic? What is most likely the case as far as I know is just having lots of objects on the screen at one time. I'm not sure if it necessarily changes the amount of slowdown but having almost every object in the screen that ISN'T on the driving line set to 'Decoration only' might help. That's what I've done on my current track and I cannot believe that some of it doesn't have slowdown, so it might be helping. Like I say just be careful of how many objects are in the frame of the camera. I find trees and bushes rack up the slowdown something fierce once you get a lot of them in, perhaps because they 'move' as if wind was affecting them (although I'm aware the objects themselves don't actually move so maybe not). Also be aware of the complexity of the individual objects you're using and how many of them are on screen at the same time. If its a big area and you want to keep the amount of objects or their complexity down it can help to use bigger objects to take up more space. I'm still an editor noob but these are things that I think might have something to do with it.Originally Posted by ClutchMystaFlex
I fixed the problem thanks to MBS. It was a light problem.. Preetty weird stuff.
I was gonna say you also might wanna be careful with the lights. Sometimes its best to just lower the amount of sources and up the remaining ones range. Also try and lose some of the least necessary ones if need be (checkpoint light eg.)
Oh and about choking the end of LLI on the 0-er. Two times? Pscht, I did it f*cking FIVE. Rage X 356,000,000
Haha. Yeah it's horrible. And no I'm not using any lights. It was natural light dude.. Weird *** Shiz.
Yeah when I made tracks I never did like to use lights something about them and when i made tracks i would save one to the hard drive and one to the cloud just never no cant wait till Fusion to make u guys a real good ninja!
Its about a year away. Don't even think about Fusion yet. People seem to have half-given up on this game already just because it got announced.
Mess with the time of day, it can make a big difference. Change the position of the sun so it casts shadows differently. In my experience almost any type of lag I run into is caused by lighting. I always turn off the bike lights and the checlpoint lights as well. Another framerate killer is plantlife. Things like grass and trees can really throw a kink in things.Originally Posted by ClutchMystaFlex
I have noticed that switching objects to "decotation only" does very minimal good. I usually try that as a last resort and mostly dont even bother to mess with the option. For one, setting objects outside the "physics bubble" to decoration only does no good. It only affects objects within the bubble. I like to shrink the physics bubble as small as I can go instead...
Hope some of this is of help.
Thanks man but I've figured it out. It was cracks of light shining through concrete... Dumbbbb
