    Re: NINJA Track Thread.

Finally got around to Disorder, almost forgotten about that track but its a good one.

I checked out a few level 5 ninjas and they all make me want to say one thing...Redlynx really needs to patch being able to upload (and rate) a track just by faulting/timing out. More and more people are goin to make ridculiously absurd ninjas in the hope that someone better will pass it. This isnt HD.

Preposterous- If TBN says this is a level 6, it might as well be level 100. Just the fact that nobody has passed the individual obstacles validates my point of patching the upload bypass. Im sure you (Atx) could pass each one as you built the obstacles but you said it yourself, that this will be impossible to pass in a full track run. Theres a fine line between making a track hard but rewarding when you pull off the necessary techniques and an insane track where you just blindly go at it until somehow you luck out passing it and dont get certain satisfation from that. Im not bashing or anything, just stating my opinion.

I think that the full track is at least level 4, maybe level 5. Each obstacle is possible to pass, but all the obstacles in 30 minutes is just insane.

Sure, but you can upload tracks with other methodes.
So RedLyxn don't really need to give us a patch...

Yeah the only level 5 that actually seems possible so far is Bahamut, and I'm pretty disappointed with myself for not managing to have passed it yet, but I will. Haven't looked at Wesse's new track. But they should make it so you can't upload until you finish it (although I saw someone who hid afterburners at the start of his tracks to do it that way.. the ****). I've also never understood why you can rate a track you haven't finished. How can you comment on something that you haven't seen all of?

@seanje: I'm not actually a big fan of most of CPR's tracks, but he does make loads and sometimes you get a good one. substudio generally makes good obstacles, and I'd say he makes good tracks if it wasn't for the fact that he puts next to no effort into how they look. Could at least change the environmental settings, it takes about 4 seconds.

I will take first place back on Disorder, I love that track!

If they do patch the ability to upload/rate tracks without passing, I'm sure there would be many ways to get around it. Wether it be hidden afterburners, a button sequence to end the game, or anything else, there would be no point in trying to fix it.

When The Hard Way was first released in HD, everyone thought the full track would be impossible, but we were proved wrong. I feel that it will be the same with Preposterous, eventually someone will beat it, even if it will be years from now. Also, I tried to keep luck out of play while making Preposterous, which is why there are absolutely no fender grabs, rails, etc. Everything does require a correct technique and I am sure that if you passed any of the obstacles you would be satisfied.

I released an extreme/level 1 version called Repository.
