Yeah I know, I sorta ****** that bit up. I wasn't thinking so much about coming from the previous obstacle, more starting from the checkpoint.
The reason the dynamite bit is so hard is 'cos I was sort of trying to find a balance in the track between making each bit a difficult obstacle in its own right, but also possible to semi-speed run. I definitely shouldn't have had those platforms so far away though, 'cos it is seriously hard to do it in one quick go.
TBNSoty's run is absolutely insane, I just feel bad now 'cos of that last obstacle..
Still, appreciate the input! I do hope someone can 0 fault it, I've come close a couple times.
Edit: Just got it, but slowly.. so the definitive run is still waiting to happen.
Ive come close to 0 faulting it, choked at the end twice when i would have beaten TBN's time. Its possible to do each obstacle slowly one by one but looks just ugly so im gonna keep at it til i zero it. Im gettin better at the flippin over the dynamite part. Just a matter of clutchin. Its a mindf**k doin the wall bounce back between the dynamite near the end- i rarely get that first try, almost always second try lol.
Grave is still one of the better ninja tracks out there and i really want to record a vid of it...just need a good run.
Thanks a lot, and I really wanna see a great run of it as well! Think I'm personally just gonna have to stick with doing it slowly..
And I probably should have done something with the camera at that bounce bit 'cos you basically go in blind, but I end up having so much trouble messing around with cameras that I gave up after about 5 minutes of trying. I seriously need to get better with the editor.
ConfusedMuscles' Tranquility for level 1-2. More like level 2 to me, i find it just as hard as rage quit by FLYER80.
Edit: not really.![]()
Got 54.XXX on Grave with a crap run. I cant even stand lookin at my own replay- got off to a bad start and finished like an amateur. Not sure if ill record it but whatever. I had a run that was 5 seconds faster than TBN's 1f run, and the track became so damn foggy at the part where you bounce back off the wall near the end. Thats when i knew speedrunning it wasnt worth any more time. Hopefully you can use this and make better ninjas in the future.
definately not a level 2 its only got one real rager in it i say a low level 1 maybe transitional most level 1s make me wanna cry at one point or another grave is a solid level 1 tho cept that first obstacle is brutalOriginally Posted by stiggyhead
imsure we will see some killer stuff from danners in te futureOriginally Posted by Amplitude
I personally feel it is a low level 1. All the transitionals listed on the doc are much easier than my track, and there is still yet to be a zero fault on it. Most ninja tracks have an extremely hard opening obstacle. Mine doesn't which is why you may not think it is not hard enough.Originally Posted by ImB1RDY
Ok, not really level 2 ,but i got over 70 faults on it on first try, and i never get this many on transitonals/low level 1s and it's also longer than the majority of ninjas, it is true that it doesn't have a brutal opening obstacle but i feel that the track gets progressively harder.Originally Posted by ConfusedMuscles
Last obstacle is harder than the first one.
I don't think it is only transitional/low level 1.
That's a shame to hear that mate, I have no idea why it would have gotten super foggy 'cos I didn't make it in such a way where that should have really been possible, but then of course I'd never gotten to that bit so fast so maybe something's up..Originally Posted by Amplitude
Either way that run still looks insane (which also shats all over mine) but if you don't like it that's your call really. I am still relatively new to this track-making business, and I've only made 5 in total, with 4 of them being ninjas and this being the first level 1 / speed-runnable one, but apparently a bit too hard to do that still. Next one I'll try and make better. All feedback is appreciated!
Plus - yeah Tranquility's a cool track.
