Seriously, what is with the ending of Strike?
For the last hour or so I've been trying to break into the top 100 on Strike and my god the ending is a joke. I've watched a lot of replays including my own replay a few times currently rank 144 in the world, and nothing is working. I've been around 0.3 of a second ahead of myself coming onto the orange horizontal pipe just after the last building and find my self consistently getting screwed over by the landing off the orange pipe.
I understand you leave the orange pipe whilst leaning forward. You then pull back and as you hit the metal block lean forward again and drive to victory. Although it's not as simple as that, I'm finding myself hitting the conrete block and either flipping on my head or going too far and landing on the ramp to the finish.
Anyone know where I'm going wrong here, what am I doing wrong?

havent played it in a while and was roughly the same rank as you, and after playing it for a little while (now 27th, go me
) i see what you mean about the end..
it does sometimes feel like youve hit it really well and you end up losing .2 seemingly from nowhere.
anyway i watched your run, and im not sure if your current ending is typical for you, but you really dont want to clip that bit of concrete after the orange pipe (where the cp is). the way that seemed to work for me was to make sure i avoided that bit of concrete while making sure to slide my backwheel against the down-ramp... i found landing at the bottom of the down-ramp/the flat section before the final jump gives real bad results.
basically, its crucial you maintain as much speed as possible going down and coming up that final section.
that may have sounded very obvious or too confusing to understand i dont know, let me know if it helped at all
edit: also, not sure if its a problem for you or not.. but be wicked careful with your riders head at the very end.
strike is so tight on the leaderboards, less than half a second seperates top page runs from 100th position... a mis-timed flip or lunge could cost you more than a few leaderboard places.

Ye sorry I didn't mean the concrete I meant the metal box before it that you clip your back wheel on to clear the concrete. It either launches me too far or flips me on my head
I edited the original post to make it easier to understand, my bad

Re: Seriously, what is with the ending of Strike?
So I just came back to it after a break and about my 10th go I had a decent run with a decent finish and pushed myself up to 56th
I didn't do anything notably different to any of my other runs really, just need luck on your side.
