Tour de France - come on Brad!!!

Has anyone else been glued to their TV watching this year's Tour de France? I'm a bit of a fan and watch it every year.

This year 32-year-old Bradley Wiggins (Britiain's 6-times Olympic gold medalist) is on course to become the first British winner in the event's 109 year history. Another monumental performance in the mountains and Wiggo's increased his lead and held on to the yellow jersey again for the 11th stage in a row. There's only 3 stages left now until the final stage in Paris and with one of those (stage 19) being a time-trial (a Wiggins' speciality) he's on course to win the world's toughest cycle race.

Tour de France - stage 17 news

Come on Wiggo, you can do it!!!

Am I really the only Tour de France fan on this site? You guys don't know what you're missing if you're not following it!

Stage 18/20 has just finished and it's another GB win as the yellow jersey-wearing Bradley Wiggins chases down the front runners in the closing stages with (team-mate) the 'Manx Missile' Mark Cavendish tucked in just behind.

Just before the finish line and Cavendish puts his head down and powers past his team-mates, flies through the front runners and gets the stage win. That's his 2nd on this tour and an astonishing 22nd stage wins in his career.

Wiggins keeps his yellow jersey and 2:05 mins advantage going into stage 19/20 tomorrow.

Stage 19 is a time-trial and Wiggins is a time-trial specialist so I hope he extends his lead even further tomorrow as they head to Paris and the final stage on Sunday.

Come on Wiggins, dig in for 2 more days and you're the Tour de France champion!!!

Nah I watch a bit every once in a while, but mostly when they reach the mountains, that's where the fun starts! Could be great for the british if you could get a winner this year! I will root for him

Btw, did you see that Danish rider that got his finger shredded after sticking it into his wheel while riding? Nastyyyy...

Yeah, that was very nasty - there was blood everywhere. Chris Anker Sorensen was the rider and apparently he had to have surgery on his fingers last night because they were so badly mangled. Today was in a lot of pain but he still wanted to carry on. Very brave but he is so close to Paris now.

Yeah, that close to Paris he HAS to finish! They'll just shoot him up with some stuff and he'll be ready to go
