"Client-Side"
Typically, a client is a computer application, such as a web browser, that runs on a user's local computer or workstation and connects to a server as necessary.
A server is a computer program running to serve the requests of other programs, the "clients". In most common uses, a server is a physical computer (a computer hardware system) dedicated to running one or more such services
Operations may be performed client-side because they require access to information or functionality that is available on the client....but not on the server.
So Redlynx...does this mean the issue is an IOS issue??
Hi all,
we were able to find the reason for the issue, and it is indeed related to the recent update. It looks like there are two clear occurrences of the problem: days 401 and 406 (today). We are not sharing the exact details to prevent someone misusing the information, but on a general level the issue is related to some people being able to play with the old game version, although the game shoud force an update in every case. On some tracks this can help the player (and mess up the replay) and on others it can be a disadvantage. Once everyone has updated to the new version, this will not occur anymore.
Unfortunately the nature of the issue prevents a quick fix for this - since the core of the problem is the old version not forcing the player to update to a new one in some rare cases, we cannot fix this by releasing a new version (and due to Apple's screening process that would take 1-2 weeks anyway, and in that time this should have gone away in any case).
We are sorry about this.

Well, thank you Jonte for your prompt reply. Would there be a remedy for anyone who purchased a glitched replay like a diamond refund?
We would love to refund the diamonds that have been used for purchasing a glitched replay, but as far as I know, App Store does not have a mechanism for refunding consumable In-App Purchases. And the diamonds are handled purely on the client, so we cannot manually increase the number of diamonds on the game server, either
Again, sorry about this.

Thanks for the replies on this issue. Can RedLynx clean up the leader-board (at least for the top 10)? Essentially, just remove any glitch runs from those top spots, so people don't continue to buy those bad replays. I guess someone from RedLynx would have to watch the leader-board, but like you said, theoretically, this should clear itself up soon.

Thanks a lot, Octo! Now you scared JonteRed away and he won't answer my question either! Don't you know the rules?!?!Originally Posted by Octofier

The first rule of 1000 Heroz is: you do not talk about new obstacles.
The second rule of 1000 Heroz is: you DO NOT talk about new obstacles!
Third rule of 1000 Heroz: a hero falls in a hole, gets impaled by a branch, stuck under a cart, the race is over.
Fourth rule: only one hero per race.
Fifth rule: one race at a time, fellas.
Sixth rule: Helmets optional, shoes required.
Seventh rule: races will go on as long as they have to.
And the eighth and final rule: if this is your first time playing 1000 Heroz, you have to race.
