Well said, it sure needs sorting out. The amount on there with a rubbish track name is far to many. The one a week idea is great. Maybe a RedLynx could put in a review track system like a certain create game on another console, that way you could read what other players have put before you waste your time riding over floating ramps with no support and such. Its take a fair few tracks now before I keep them instead of deleting them once Ive painfully finished them to give them a one or no star rating.

80% of what is currently on Track Central is "Impossible Stairs," "Don't Move," or "Ninja (insert track name here)." It's really, really annoying.

Here's what really bothers me the most about the user-reated tracks besides the things mentioned above:

    1. Advertising your Gamertag at the end/ during the track. If the track is good, it'll speak for itself. Just make good tracks and the recognition will follow.

    2. Floating/ buried checkpoints. Unless it's going with a certain theme, there is no reason for floating or buried checkpoints to exist. It just shows that you are lazy as a track creator.

    3. Mis-labelling the difficulty. I can't count the number of tracks that have been labeled as hard when they should be extreme. Likewise, I hate it when things are labeled as "Ninja difficulty" when the track itself is merely hard.

    4. This is related to number 1. When tracks say "Rate 5*!" in the description or during the track.

    5. Randomly selected/ placed objects. This just looks sloppy and makes the track easily forgettable.

    6. Incredibly laggy tracks. I cannot stand to play through a track that runs in slow motion just so I can reach the end and give it a 1 star rating. Somehow, this didn't bother the creator when making the track?

I've just described most tracks available on Track Central. Incredibly, a lot of what I've described above makes it's way into the highest rated 48 hour and highest rated this week feeds and I just don't understand why.

Pretty much agree with all of this and everything everyone else has mentioned. There are only ever a few decent tracks in the the highest rated 48 hour, the rest are filled with those you described at the beginning. The Ninja short tracks are really annoying too with just 1 or 2 obstacles, everyone seems to be making those now. It's not fair because people will spend many hours putting a lot of effort into making good tracks and then they get overlooked because the stupid tracks mentioned which probably take about 30mins to make, are taking up all the slots.
I do vote a lot of them tracks 1* but obviously that is not enough to even dent the 4/5* rating it has.

Agree with everything KaliniuS said, and could add many more points...however, it has been said way too many times already and by so many people. I no longer get satisfaction from moaning about and carefully constructing solutions and ideas for fixing TC hoping devs will fix it. Only seeing it fixed will assuage my gloom over the state of my favourite game of all time.

I long for the announcement from RedLynx saying when and what they are going to do about TC.

i agree with all who have stated their opinion and supported my statement,
this topic has been covered a lot now and i only hope that it will be seen by developers so they can fix this S#@& up!!!!!!!! Its such a shame to see such a awesome game be abused the way it is!!!!!!!!

As of this writing here's what are in the top rated 48 hours section:

    - 6 "Don't Move" variants (including the "Hold RT" track)
    - 5 "Ninja (track name)" tracks
    - 2 "Trial Rules V10" tracks that as far as I can tell, are identical
    - 2 tracks that tell you what to rate it in the description

I just don't know about TC anymore... I'm actually thinking about not making any tracks until all the stupidity clears up (if it ever will).

Just make a lot of tracks and wait for all the people to leave until we only have the committed people left. But please don't spam all your tracks out at once.

I think a lot of people are being drama queens about it.
