2 > People are allready shoving their tracks in the wrong catagory (the ninja crisis pops to mind, thank god i dont play them), a suggestion would be to offer the user a reason to actually play the track and use the track setup that you built (otherwise it make it a totally pointless part of the program) - a written warning during the upload procedure warning the user that their "hard worked" track will more than likley get lost(due to the rating sytem) if they do not catagorise or time it properly.
3 > If some people use the rating system properly, then the odds stack that it it will never stay on 3 stars, the rating system does actually work mate, its just that hardly anyone uses it because its mentally easier to push red than to have a productive thought process. If you add a section to the users stats that shows "his" average rating of other peoples tracks, they will think again, especially if there kids ... image ... thats their main concern! (no one give me any crap about a age-ist comment)If you make a task mandatory, people will learn to do it, if you also tell them that other people can see if their a troll or not, it think it`ll help
4 > its a good idea and i do do it on this forum and my youtube page - but thats it, sorry but i dont want to spend my whole night, sitting on my bum, joining 20 odd forums advertising a track, that in all fairness should be advertised on the very medium it is ment to be advertised on - Track central? Sorry![]()

dont worry about over complicating TC, for me the editor if complicated and u can see what some genuis have done with that !!
dont you remeber the day that ure newphew/neice started to kick ure *** at lastest version of the game that u introduced them to years ago!! They`ll figure it out
The fact that ure looking into it eases me a bit, i just hope that you dont worry to much about it being over compicated!
On your spamming point, I think you should be able to flag tracks as spam. If a creator get say a certain number of spams in a certain amount of time, they can't upload for like a week. You should also not be able to flag for spam unless you complete the track. This way people don't abuse when they can't pass a hard, but well built track.Originally Posted by Jarr3tt88

I'll probably catch some heat for this, but Track Central is NOT supposed to advertise your tracks for you. Put Track Central beside the Trials HD sharing system.Originally Posted by GreenCandy

Offensive content can be flagged
Trials HD Track Share:
7 Tracks can be shared
Only XBL Friends can download your tracks
Impossible tracks are shared

Is Track Central perfect? No, but isn't it a lot better than what was in place for sharing on Trials HD? Track Central isn't an advertising zone for Trials Evolution, it's a hub for downloading tracks. It's already too large to stumble your way through (+130,000 tracks) without having a track pointed out to you in some way.
@Jarr3tt88 - uploading to Track Central is the right of everyone who has bought Trials Evolution, not a privilege. It is your right to not play tracks that you deem bad. It would be impossible, due to volume, to moderate every track before it was allowed to be uploaded.
i actually have to agree with shifty here, we all want recognition for our effort but i think a lot of people were a bit naive to think that problems like these werent always going to happen with a global sharing hub and a lot of what is being said is a little on the unreasonable side. in an ideal world we'd all see our tracks getting 100,000+ downloads and 5 stars every time but it aint gonna happen.
do the best you can do in the editor, and treat anything more than some of your friends playing your track as a bonus![]()
I agree with Shifty here too. There's only one thing which I think could probably be implemented that hasn't already and that's the option to search by track name.. (?)
Well said shifty...kinda puts it all in perspective!
Nope im gonna give u bugger all heat because you have taken the time answer and to put things into perspective ... u didnt have to!Originally Posted by ShiftySamurai

TC whether or not is ment to be used for advertising ... is being used in that way, (thats y we have all the spammers) If the spamming didnt exist or there were limits on how much u can upload in a day, i doubt we`d even be having this convo as the track would naturally have longer exposure. (are there any stats to see how many different users upload per day(not tracks just individual users)?
As you have said allready you are looking into changes for TC, so im more than happy to sit back and wait for them, can i ask tho, when u do, will u release it as a free patch or are you going to do an EA and make us buy it via DLC?
