Getting seriously disheartened with TC | Forums

1 > U need to have a 24 hour feed, cant fit them in, use list instead of thumbnails.
2 > introduce sub catagorys - In new trials, introduce the beg,easy, med,hard,ext difficutlies as sub catagories, this will free up room on exisitng lists & make tracks easier to search thru.
3 > make track voting madatory, if u dont have to use it, people wont, purley out of spite if they dont like ure track(they should be made to vote as helps serperate the poop from the good
4 > make the new track listing bigger, 1 -2 hours advertised on TC after spending 3 days creating a track is a insult!!

1) A 24hr feed would be abused as much as "New" feeds are. People would upload the same track 100 times just because they can.

2) People already don't edit medal times. With a different feed for all difficulties it would be nearly impossible to find a quality medium track, which would make people building mediums shove them into the wrong difficulty. It would add even more problems.

3) Mandatory voting would end up with almost every track having 3 stars. People don't want to waste time voting. They would select the default rating almost every time.

4) Promote your tracks, use your social media and hit up @RedLynxGamer with a video (even if its from a cell phone! ) and it will usually be retweeted. With the amount of users building tracks we would need far more pages than anyone would be able to scroll through. Again, these pages would be filled by the people who upload the same track 20+ times.

We are looking into Implementing some TC changes, but I can't make any promises right now.

It's good to hear that you guys are looking into it. I think a lot of these suggestions are mainly to get the ball rolling. Hopefully, there will be improvements soon.

What about making a circle with the star ratings.
At the bottom there is the option I don't wanna rate.
People could select every star amount with one press.

We are looking into Implementing some TC changes, but I can't make any promises right now.

Nice to know you are contemplating stuff Shifty.

Here's two ideas I would like to see.

1) Can you increase the number of tracks in new trials from 50 to say 200? That would allow slightly more exposure of new tracks initially. And increase the 48hr feed from 50 to 100?

2) Can you add another page to the TC home page? This would free up the option to add more feeds without having to remove any. It would be nice to have a highest rated this week for trials, supercross and skill games instead of just the one feed for example.

Maybe add a 'search by release date' option on TC? You wouldn't search for a particular track this way but at the moment it is impossible to randomly stumble across tracks from several weeks ago. If you pick a date and the results were listed by highest rated that were released on that date you could at least rediscover tracks that were otherwise lost and I don't think that would be a big feature to implement since the release date is stored in the track info all ready.

I think the one feature we need above all is the ability to search by track name. It would also be nice if it returned results which were similar but not identical. For instance, if I was searching for a track called "BestTrackEver" and I typed "Best Track Ever" it would still find it. Also, a small thing that's been bugging me. Any chance of removing the case sensitivity on the GT finder? There's really no point to it. It's impossible to have two gamertags with the same characters...

Posting your map to Reddit/Youtube/Facebook/Twitter or any other social networking platform can help get the world out there for your map. I myself have a decently sized YouTube channel and would love to check out your map and possibly make a video for it!

Can't agree with this... with a list view, and an array of "sort by" options, it would fix the spamming issue. Perhaps even the ability to "favorite" or "hide" creators. Give me 30 minutes with this setup and I'd have the perfect connection to great map makers and the perfect disconnection from spammers.

Shifty, if uploading was LIMITED and also unable to share the same track multiple times (say max of 2 or 3 times for edits) Then it wouldn't be as filled. Abusive uploaders should be banned IMO because spamming TC is like spamming anything else.

There should be allowed for deleting obsolete tracks, would get rid of v1, v2, v2394929052

I think TC should be moderated, and uploading should be a privilege.

IMO what would be awesome is if we could hide stuff we don't want to see from TC, and then new tracks would appear. It sucks now that you have to play the crappy tracks just to give them 1* and they still wind up in highest rated.

We def need increased # of tracks viewed in all categories! I think 500-1,000 would be perfect. I don't understand why its limited to only 50. Thats such a small number. Gives more exposure. As of now its insane that youll be lucky to get 30-60 mins of exposure when you spend 30+hrs making a track.
