    Instant News' Custom Tracks- New Track- "Fearless"

    I'm not sure how often I'll update this thread, but I've jumped into the track editor, and made a couple so far. Any feedback I could get from forum members would be greatly appreciated. The first couple are going to be a bit rough, though, as I didn't hardly know anything about what I was doing.


    Name: Industrial Forest- Released 7/12/2012
    Difficulty: Medium
    Description: This track has split personalities. Which one will emerge victorious?
    My first trials track. This was built with speed and constant flow in mind. There are very little effects or events, because I didn't yet know how to make them.

    Name: Dark Night Lights- Released 7/13/2012
    Difficulty: Hard
    Description: Don't go into the light! Although in this case, that might actually help.
    This track has a dark atmosphere that brightens as you progress through it.

    Name: Pipe Dream- Released 7/17/2012
    Difficulty: Hard
    Description: Can you avoid the toxic waste, and make it out of the pipe warehouse alive?
    A pipe warehouse setting that is dripping with toxic waste. There are a lot of effects, and explosions.

    Name: Point C- Released 7/22/2012
    Difficulty: Hard
    Description: The shortest distance between two points is a straight line.
    A run through a forest area, as well as a log factory. Plenty of curved driving line that was a pain to work with.

    Name: Perfect Storm- Released 7/26/2012
    Difficulty: Extreme
    Description: This storm has trashed the beach. Will you share the beach's fate?
    This was my first attempt at an Extreme track, and I was happy with the way it turned out. It involves a driving line from a debris filled beach up a hill into a forested area.

    Name: Early Morning Peak- Released 8/01/2012
    Difficulty: Extreme
    Description: Some people walk in the morning, some run. You climb mountains.
    This was a fun track to make, and I ended up taking a fairly minimalist approach to scenery outside of natural things like rocks or trees. The whole theme is basically riding through a natural setting, so I felt like it was the best move. I wasn't entirely sure about the difficulty on this either. It felt like a hard track to me, but I labeled it extreme, because I felt like some people might have difficulties with a few obstacles, especially in the last half of the track.

    Name: Fearless- Released 8/16/2012
    Difficulty: Hard
    Description: You say the hill is too steep to climb. Climb it.
    This was a track that would honestly be lower quality if there wasn't the whole track central failure going on. I'm leaving for school tomorrow, so I might as well upload it now, for the few people that are going to play it.

    Enjoyed both of your tracks. Good efforts for your first time in the editor! The only sour grape to me was the opening obstacle on the hard track.

    Thanks, Zero Fault! That obstacle was basically just something I threw down at the very beginning of brainstorming the track, and I never went back and really tweaked it much. I'm glad you enjoyed them, though!

    Thanks, crisp! You have some really good runs on my tracks! I also feel a little more comfortable with the editor now, so i'll keep making them.

    Dude that happens to me all the time. I make a map and then it's weeks before I have another idea.
