Haha! I was using the eye-roling smiley cause I dont wanna be the one to do it either![]()
When the timing is right, an official ninja discussion will be made...preferably by the right person. Think itd be better to wait it out until the vastness of pirates and so-called ninjas die down on TC so there wont be too much hurt feelings. I intend on contributing as much as i can (recommendations, videos, rating of levels, techniques, etc) when the time comes. Really lookin forward to it.![]()
Yes, that's what I would like to do too. Being involved sounds like a lot of fun, I just don't wanna be in charge this time around.Originally Posted by Amplitude![]()
I dont think it will be as much work as you did with the video leaderboard, since custom replays have been implemented. It will mostly be updating quality ninjas to the OP as well as the gamertags, level and video previews. Its something i would not mind doin, i have alot of free time to spare in between shifts- just sayin.Originally Posted by Malachyte
And for gods sake, when are you coming back? You should be done with all the level 1 ninjas by now.
I know that the aspect of updating the leaderboard with replays, etc. would not have to be done with Evo, but honestly, 90% of my work for the THD leaderboard was testing and rating new tracks. 10% was updating leaderboards and replays on existing tracks. If you wanna be the one to take this on for Evo, that would be awesome. You certainly have enough skill, and a good taste for quality Ninja tracks.Originally Posted by Amplitude
I moved up into the mountains a couple years ago, mainly for mountain biking and summer activities. Last summer I was so consumed by Trials that I rode my (real life) bike WAY LESS than I wanted to, and by the time it started snowing in October I was kicking myself over it... so this summer I'm trying to get outside a lot more. Mountain Biking, Disc Golf, etc. I'm still working on my THD goals from time to time, but it probably won't be until the fall that I really get back into it.Originally Posted by Amplitude
Since my last batch of videos, I have zeroed all of I ShArIIngaN I's Level 1s. That's it. The track I'm on now is ShiftySamurai's Diabolical, and while nothing in it is TOO hard, it's a very long track... I've only worked on it during a few short gaming sessions, and I'm down to 6 faults so far.
Holy ****! I am no way trying that track. I can already feel the rage building just on that first obstacle. Looks nice though.Originally Posted by Lifeonaboard

But guys, you cant change people. You cant make them like this or that, thats like a school sporting event where no one likes to be there, but you HAVE to be there... its not going to work.
I could manage a ninja tracks thread, without the testing of every track involved. Realistically, would it be fair if one person decides if a track even gets on the list? No, not in my opinion.
And yeah, for those interested, Im making a level 3 ninja right now, my hardest to date. I dont plan doing gimmick tracks, maybe just one obstacle or something, but not a whole track. Thats it with all of my tracks, just pure skill, and no gimmicks.

Couldn't it be possible to just watch replays just to see if the track could even be considered a ninja.
I think you guys should just let it go, I know the community here has been around for a while and came up with the term ninja but you're up against possibly hundreds of thousands?(I dunno how many use track central regularly) of people at this point, who think it means one thing, myself included when I first started poking around track central. Let the unwashed masses or whatever you consider them have their fun and just go with ultra or nightmare or something like that.
But I do agree, there is a ton of garbage on there and I don't think it's going anywhere. Today I saw a track on highest rated in 48 hours where you don't even move, the track is just set up for you to coast to the end, I guess that's cool if the map maker wants to build something like that but if I wanted to watch a movie I would do that, and how it gets voted up is just strange.
