strange that your having problems with mindbender, i never had, i even got gold on it my first try and only sporadicly fault on it
most tourneys took me forever to 0 fault though,still tym left
i nly have 3 plats on the tourneys but my goal was only 0 faulting, plats are for later

Tournaments are a real pain in the *** for me, but on the flip side I do enjoy the extra challenge of having to be consistent over five or six tracks in a row.

However, the order of tracks in some tournaments is a bit nasty; I only just platinumed Fantastic Voyages last night, mainly due to choking on stupid Trials of Limbo about fifty times in a row

I've also been stuck at one fault on Industrial Revolution for months because of Physics Factory, which fully tango-slaps me every time too. Grrrrr.

yeah they are defo the hardest thing in the game. which is why i think there should be more global leaderboard points awarded for them

as for Fantastic Voyages, yes it's really annoying. i think i played it for about 2-3, maybe even 4, hours with the phoenix and choked on Limbo a ton of times. then my first or second go with the scorpion i nailed it and got platinum. i personally found it much easier with the scorpion. i've since improved my plat time with the phoenix because it seems so much easier when it's already platinumed!

The thing that really bugs me about tournaments is that you never know which bike to use. With normal tracks you just look at the number 1 replay and use their bike. With tournaments, you'll do better on some tracks with the phoenix, and others with the scorpion, but you have to choose one bike for the whole tournament.

I'm pretty sure the Phoenix is faster for this tourney, but it will be a lot easier to get the platinum with the Scorpion. Go through the tracks separately with the Scorpion because you may have to make a few changes to your runs. You can get pretty consistent on most of the tracks. The only part where you might need some luck is the cogs in Limbo, but tracks like Archipelago and Mindbender are easy not to fault if you've practised them.

Finally did it with the Phoenix. Sailed through the next few tournaments much to my pleasure But now I have the last 4 tournaments left and to say they're frustrating is an understatement. At least it's obvious which bike to use

I don't understand why Redlynx had to be so god damn cruel with Test Your Might.

They ordered the tracks so that it pretty much, but not exactly, goes from easiest to hardest. This makes the tournament sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much harder. They also did this with all of the other tournaments, but its not nearly as big a deal.

If they put the tracks from hardest to easiest I could've 0 faulted it twenty times by now.

But there has to be something in the game that even after hours/months/years of play is still a serious challenge, it gives you something to aim for (this thread has reminded me that I can't just keep hunting through TC for intresting stuff, I'm gonna have to go back to trying to 0 fault TYM, thats gonna be 30 hours wasted this week and 1 angry girlfriend, oh well...)
