Found level on TC alot harder than it's posted as

just as a quick question I like a level but found it alot harder than it is posted its posted as easy but there's a bit which is a triangle go up and down the sides but they have put tyres on it to make it bumpy and I cant get over. The leader board top yesturday had ppl at the top with 10 and more faults is there any way it can be amended or do i suck and just get over it lol. not naming track as dont want to sound like i'm taking a dump on it.

There's no way it can be changed, once tracks are uploaded they can't be altered or removed unless something is deemed offensive.

Does it really matter if you like the track anyway? Tracks are mis-levelled all the time as what each person considers difficult differs from the next.

Ideally builders should be markering the difficulty level based on the general skill of all players and not their own skill. It's very easy to use the in game liscense tests as guides. For example an easy track should be completable on one of the easy bikes using only basic riding skills. If a track requires the Scorpion it's at least medium, if it requires the Phoenix and using skills like bunny hops and switch jumps it's at least hard no matter how easy it is for the creator. If all builders just use their own skill level it makes marking a difficulty more or less pointless. When I download a track that says easy or medium but find it to be difficult it always has a negative effect on my rating of the track.

Really it should be common sense, if you want people to play & enjoy the track you should let them know what to expect. Generally speaking expert riders aren't seeking out easy tracks so there is no reason to mark a hard track as easy. The kind of players who do look for easy tracks are often less skilled and looking for tracks that they can have fun riding but they are not going to enjoy a track that is too hard for them.

Since most people improve gradually it's unfortunately hard for a lot of them to recognize that their view on difficulty becomes skewed (it was a problem for me in Trials HD for a very long time). When a rider gets used to riding the Poenix and using advanced techniques a lot of that stuff becomes second nature, they just do it without thinking. So when they test an obstacle they do it, maybe pulling off some fairly skilled moves but to them it still feels easy. However that's not an excuse, the difficulty rating isn't for the builder it's for the people who are potentially going to download the track. I'd really like to see more builders consider the less skilled riders when setting difficulty. When you think about it, avergae to low skilled riders outnumber the pros & ninjas by a fair number, if you want to maximize the potential exposure of your track pleasing that audience is a very good idea.

Hey thanx CannibalShogun for backing me up and the great advice I've read other threads that advise to use the license test as guides. If you want to see for your self if you happen to stumble across it the level I'm on about is called purple moon no idea of the gamer tag at the moment tho.

Nothing puts me off like a mislabeled track difficulty.
If a track has a higher difficulty than what it's labeled it rarley gets more than 3 stars by me.

I say, if you are not sure rate it higher. If you think it could be hard or extreme rate it extreme. I would much rather play and easy extreme, than an extreme hard.
