Yeah I agree with mos of what has been said above. I barely ever play mp anymore mainly due to the horrible matchmaking and the fact that faults don't matter. It's definitely something that could have been executed a lot better.
I agree that it should be based on something other than just amount of games played. Right now it is displaying the people with the most free time.
I was on silver for the past couple months just playing customs and on monday i get a 3 month subscription i finally get back online start up trials all hyped up to play some hardcore trials and im left waiting for over half an hour trying to find a game really dissapointing.
I agree trials mp would be great if it gets PROPERLY fixed and when people quit games derank them please it would help put a stop to that particular problem.
Are Redlynx working on another patch to fix mp yet ?
Havent played MP since it got fixed due to the fact that i just cant get in a game with anyone even with open Nat. So ill be in the TC if anyone wants to hit me up.![]()
I noticed when I tried to play the other day I invited my nephew to play and joined a lobby, I couldn't find anyone but when I eventually did it was people like Maccattack, and some random person I can't remember now they leave, everytime... Kinda upsets me really cause I liked the online aspect but it seems to have gone down hill. I think if youre in a lobby it should lock you in till it starts. Regardless, unless you dashboard.
If you quit or dashboard you should lose your half a level or something like that and not be able to participate in matchmaking for an hour.
Welcome to Trials multiplayer, where everything's made up and the points don't matter!

Couldn't agree more, multiplayer in a game like this has so much potential but I feel it has been really poorly implemented. Im only lv22 and I haven't touched it in over a month, what I have played was really lacking and didn't leave me wanting more. Let's hope the team at RedLynx are busy coming up with new ideas for multiplayer.
The problem with the leaderboards promoting skill instead of playime is that the same players who dominate the global ranking would dominate the multiplayer too. There could have been better ways of penalising players to make the leaderboards a little tougher on those who quit out of games, or generally get low scores. At least this would let a little bit of skill sway the way you're ranked on the leaderboard.
I find it takes much longer to get into a game now than it used to. Now sometimes it can take up to 20 mins to find someone, so I'm on my computer while it's searching instead of sitting at the Xbox. I'm getting a lot of 1vs1 races which are pretty fun but it would be nice to have more four-player races. Thankfully I'm getting matched with some good players (partly because everyone else quits before the race starts) though I'd rather play people of lower skill than sit waiting for a game for too long.
I like the penalty for quitting, I think Halo does something similar to this.Originally Posted by ChicagoAJ
