So there's a lot of speculation around that DLC will be available sooner or later for Trials Evo. But also doubts about any DLC being released with track central being so successful. In fact it even contains what is essentially a free DLC dispenser in the 'Red Lynx Creations' section. What do you think?
This has always been my issue with DLC. I can say that where I see it being beneficial is in multiplayer. Having more tracks to add into rotation in MP would be awesome. Apart from that yeah new tracks can be obtained all the time for free but the quality of the Redlynx tracks is not the same as the regular TC stuff.Originally Posted by Jake1782
Looking forward to it, but I have still not played all that much Evo so I have to get back into it.
Too busy being a bauws that is.Originally Posted by FatShady
I dont think id pay for just new tracks by themselves but if those new tracks came fitted with some new editor pieces, effects and sounds that also add to your own editor then Id be on that in an instant !
I also think something like the skate series did with a replay/video editor would be nice (although i doubt this is possible as trials records button presses not actual vids)
Maybe some form of clothing or bike designing utility would be nice extras aswell.
Theres plenty of scope for stuff that would add to this game apart from just tracks but it all depends on whats achievable with the engine and if it will return some form of profit
Redlynx will know already if they have plans for DLC, for once I hope they could be straight with the community & say something. I want to know because I just want to 100 percent it, but at the same time I'm not renewing my subscription this year so some Idea of whats happening would be nice.
I want some new tracks that would count on the global leader boards, even if they had a contest like in HD and put the best ten TC tracks, of course with sme new RedLynx created tracks too. I just want some more tracks that count toward overall score and some more multiplayer tracks.
dlc may be more than just extra career tracks though. and in any case, competition on track central will never be anywhere near as fierce as on official tracks so the 'track central = unlimited free dlc' thing isnt all that solid imo. plus, if they did add a bunch of new single player tracks with dlc, thousands of people would buy it.. so why wouldnt they?
new dlc could (and hopefully will) mean 100s more objects for the editor, new multiplayer modes and rider gear. i would say theres more chance of 3 or 4 dlcs for this game than there is for no dlc at all.. which is a good thing (would also take it up to 800 gamerscore for the cheevo *****s).
The way I see it is they wouldn't be employing junior developers so early if dlc wasn't planned. I hope for new tracks for global score and multiplayer and extra objects for editor.
If this doesnt have at least 2 dlcs ill eat my own arm. Im that confident. HD had 2 DLC packs...and now ubisoft are on board you can guarantee at least that again. The career tracks are of a different caliber to 90% of TC tracks....i will always pay for more.
