Re: How do you rate tracks?

Sounds like we're gonna need a developer in on this one to confirm it either way.

They have done before and they stated there was no such thing as a zero star rating.

I don't really think too much about rating, I just wing it!

I reckon 90% of the ratings I have given on track central are either a 1* or 5*. I'm not the harshest person out there so if I see somebody has put some work into a track and provided me with a relatively fun experience it gets a 5*. Anything I play that is irritating and not fun gets a 1*. I would be more careful with my ratings if they actually mattered and almost every track wasn't enivatably going to end up with a 4* rating.

Re: How do you rate tracks?

1 star - What in the actual f*** where you thinking?!
    - My dead cat made a better map with it's paws tied behind it's back
    - Why do you even exist? Go donate your organs to someone who can actually hold a controller.
2 stars - Anything impossible to pass faultlessly with the exception of teleporting faults like in Walton31's Dragon Rider usually falls under here.
    - Completely random objects with few, if not any, supports
    - Poor driving line/does not match the suggested difficulty appropriately
    - Probably has too many explosions
    - Sharp, jerky changes in the driving line's direction
3 stars - Uses supports and leaves few objects floating or merged together (unless all seems fitting)
    - Probably still doesn't follow any sort of theme, but at least doesn't put fire under water, floating grass, flying fish, etc.
    - Is possible with the bikes given to the rider
    - Obviously was made with at least some thought
4 stars - Has a common theme. Example: Wooden boxes and other various containers, items you would find underground/in a mineshaft, etc.
    - If innovation is presented, it is well presented
    - Would have looked better with... It could have used a... but it was still good.
    - Any track that went above and beyond the mentioned standards, but I just don't like it
5 stars - Truly impressive with lots of detail
    - Doesn't seem too much of a stretch to say it could be an in-game track or better
    - Congratulations, you win an internet!

cheers man, that's what i thought.
nope u can vote 0 stars if u want, it should effect the rating system as it registers that u have voted( rather than pushing "B")
Wrong. If no stars are shown, it is not rated. The ratings go from 1-5.
Hmmmm .... this is confusing then, when u fin the track it asks you to rate and it gives u the option to push red and back out ( to not vote ) ... so i dont understand y is there an option to vote no stars ( its possible ive done it ) if its not being used, is this just a code error by the devs??

So that you can choose no stars and be sure that you didnt default to 3 stars by pressing B? Dont know.
