Red dead redemption hands downs for me. Has an excellent story, superb gameplay and one of...if not the best open world ever created. The free roam multiplayer is pure fun too. One of the greatest games of all time to me. I did enjoy GTA 4 but it lacked something for me.....the story kept me hooked until the end though but i had no compulsion to 100% it once the story was put to bed. I played red dead for at least a further 20 hours after completing it just to 100% it..and still wanted to play it again.
I never played san andreas which i know many people hold in high regard..im hopong they give it the HD treatment one of these days

GTA4 but really liked LA Noire too. Red dead didn't do it for me. I got bored about 20% into the single player. The reason I didn't go back though is excusable... Trials Evolution came out!

I can't decide between Max Payne 3, Red Dead Redemption, San Andreas and La Noire.
Hopefully Grand Theft Auto V can decide for me

I agree with the emcee. Red Dead is one of my favorite games ever. The world was spectacular, and even when I finished the main story, I still didn't want to stop playing.
Red Dead Redemption. 100%ed the story, Maxed my level on MP, Downloaded the DLCs and 100%ed those (except for a few online achievements.)
And then I downloaded the soundtrack and still listen to it.
Yeah, I love that game. Especially once the storyline takes off. It's a little slow at first.
GTA IV: The Ballad of Gay Tony was also really good.
Vice City was my favourite. San Andreas was pretty close too though.
Can I say Uni-rally? If not than it's GTA IV for me, that last speech from Nico and that last phone call grabbed me by the throat. It's a special feeling when you finish a game like that, Nico's speech augmented that feeling and at the same time showed you how fleeting it is. It still gives me a weird chill checking that end speech.

I've only played 3 Rockstar game. A bit of GTA3 and San Andreas and they weren't my cup of tea. But Red Dead Redemption was stellar!
