I am wondering why the riders head is so sensitive. I know they don't want to encourage worming to the next checkpoint, but it is very frustrating to tap your head and immediately crash. I think they could have made it so that if you are on your head for too long you will crash, or you can't cross checkpoints on you head.
I think I remember someone saying in the real sport of Trials if any part of your body touches the ground that is a fault. If that is so, then I agree with the head being so sensitive in the game.
Since when in real life do you ride up 10 foot vertical walls and jumps explosive barrels, this game is the most realistic. Also, how come you can ride on your butt for a long time?Originally Posted by ZeroFault
i'd say it's a little over sensitive myself.
i can cope with it in single tracks and all but one of the tournaments. but in Test Your Might you have to keep Mr Trials Rider's thin glass skull from touching anything for over 8/9/10 mins and it can feel a bit mean at times when you accidentally over-endo and tickle a bit of wood with your bonce.
i take your point about real trials having that rule ZeroFault. but if we go down the real path then i'd say in real life just reel your head in a bit, or move it to the side or whatever. but we can't do this in Trials Evolution as the rider only has 3 positions and no controllable body parts.

Check out videos of 'sheffield indoor trials' on youtube.
There may not be explosive barrels but some of that stuff is extreme.
Also I think for a while there was also a rule that balancing on the sump plate for too long counted as a fault, even more hardcore!
