Re: I almost lost a controller tv and maybe my wife tonight

I may have overstated my rage. I was not literally about to break anything or lose my wife. That was a figure of speech. However, I am always blown away by this community. Thank you everyone for the tips. I can see how starting back at the easy tracks or even starting all the way back at the beginning of HD could help. Also, washing your hands/face...that is something I have to do all the time anyways. My hands get super clammy while riding. I had no idea until today that replays went all the way to like 9999 place. I honestly thought it was just top 10 so I never even checked anything past that. Anyways, thank you again to everyone I will take all of your tips into consideration here shortly when I load up EVO and get back on the bike. I know I will probably never get to the elite level of riding however, I will not give up until I at the very least finish every track on the game

If I get frustrated I usually quit the track before I get more mad. When I'm mad there is no way that I'm going to improve/pass the track. I then usually go to track central, download some customs or edit a map.

The only time Ive ever gotten ratty in Trials is during Midnight Club, and nervous breakdown. I hate extreme tournaments so much!

    Replays go to 10000 now?

You learn something new every day.

i did some bad things for dealing with my frustration from dark souls

when i get a bit too frustrated i usually start playing another game or do some other stuff
sadly for me i was still playing and enjoying supermeatboy alot

so when i got a bit too frustrated i looked at my games thinking what to do and i picked supermeatboy alot
sadly this resulted in giving up on dark souls, will pick it up again in the next few weeks but still a shame i gave up
so conclusion, its a bad idea to take a break from dark souls with supermeatboy

Re: I almost lost a controller tv and maybe my wife tonight

i partake in a little smoke before i play, and i put my current favourite music on a USB stick.

but i'm not really prone to game rage, unless the game itself robs me of something. Joe mentioned GoW3, which would be a great example of a game robbing you blind. hitting a player in the face with a shotgun from 10ft three times only for him to shoot once from the same distance and kill you is hard for even the calmest man to take. though even then, i'd just turn the game off rather than exploding.

in trials the only time i've been really annoyed was when i zero faulted WOYN only for me to not be connected to the redlynx servers, before the patch, meaning my score wasn't saved.
