Re: Slowdown and lag during testing? (SOLVED!)

Right.. Cant say Ive done anything that advanced in the editor.. Ive heard of people turning off lights after certain areas are passed too so it really is different for every track. Curious.. is this one built in a new location? Number of objects increased? If its the same exact thing I wouldnt see why there was an issue but maybe note that stuff if disabling your 'tornado' doesnt work in the future.

This one is built close to where I built Tornado 2. The difference is that the directional force that pulls you into the tornado is much stronger in part 3 than it was in part 2. For that reason, the debris in the tornado were feeling slight effects of that force even though it was all the way on the ground. This caused the game to process the physics properties for all items twice: once for the standard item physics and once for the directional force coming from below.

I'm going to release the track later on today (a day earlier than planned).

Why didnt you select the objects it effected rather than leaving it standard so it effected everything? That would have been much easier to control imo.

Hmm. That's a good question and actually I must have already done that. I previously set the only affected objects as being the bike and rider but still encountered the slowdown when the force was still active. Whatever works, I suppose *shrugs*
