Will anyone be getting The Elder Scrolls V : DawnGuard ? Wish I could![]()
Yes for sure... though I'm waiting for the buggy achievements to be fixed first.
It'll be good for my g/f to have something to play while I'm on a business trip later next month.
I'm an Elder Scrolls junkie.
(side note, if you haven't read the two novels, I highly suggest you do. start with "The Infernal City")
Im not sure...for some reason i lost interest in it before i finished the main quest...once some reviews come out ill see then. My main problems were the story was quite boring and the combat was fluffy...guess i was spoilt by dark souls lol. Anyone played dawnguard yet?
I love that series to death, but for some reason cannot finish any Bethesda Open-World RPG. I have played Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim, and Fallout 3 for 80+ hours each, but haven't completely finished any of them (that is, all the sub-main storylines, and in half of them the main ones as well.)
It took me three playthroughs to finally finish the main storyline in Oblivion, I never got anywhere in Morrowind, finally went back and beat the main story in Skyrim the other day, and got halfway into Fallout 3. I guess I like to do one storyline at a time, and quit the game feeling like I finished it until I go back to finish another storyline.
But somehow, even though I haven't completely finished any of them, I love them. I have so much fun with them from beginning to end, and have no trouble picking them back up to play some more.
So yeah, I'll work on actually finishing the main parts of the game before I expand the area I haven't touched yet. Right now on Skyrim I've finished the Mages Guild and the Main Quest, and countless Misc Quests.
I've put hundreds of hours into Morrowind and Oblivion, and never even cared to finish the main quest line.
It wasn't until my g/f finished the Oblivion story that she talked me into doing the same. Still though I waited a few months.
Still haven't finished Skyrim, not really intent on it. I like the idea that as it is a role playing game, I can assume the role of a non-main-quest-finisher.
Already halfway through it. It's amazing.
After reading some reviews ive decided not to bother...looks like more boring fetch quests and generally just more of the same from the vanilla game. The vampire controls look crappy too! Bring on the dark souls dlc...thats all i can say![]()
This. I bought it and went back to Trials after a few hours. It mainly offers up more things to do and use if you play Skyrim regularly. THe questline itself isn't terribly long and the new areas aren't terribly huge either. Most of it's set in the mainland, and all you do is fight vampires. I've only seen two types of new enemies so far, and one is just a reskinned dog.Originally Posted by emcee
I'm not saying it's bad. Like I said, it's great if you already play Skyrim a lot. But if you were bored of Skyrim, this won't last you too long.
You obviously didn't make it to the soul cairn yet.
Yeah i enjoyed skyrim a lot but i still have loads to do even though i finished the main questline. Its not a bad game by any means but the combat straight up sucks which puts me off going back to it a lot of the time. When i play skyrim its usually if im in a chilled out explore new lands type vibe.Originally Posted by James24993
