When it comes down to penalty shoot outs we have only won once because apparently you cant practice them. It is just a shame we lost against this
But at least England's defending is good, but we did the same thing every time goalie boots it up the pitch, carol headers it, Rooney looses the ball

I didnt understand why they played for a draw...did they think they would win on pens? The best team won on the night...world cup qualifiers next!

I can't believe Ashley Young wasn't subbed when Milner was. Young had an awful game by his standards and switching Milner to the left and bringing on Theo or Alex OC would have been a better move in my opinion.
Overall, I think the majority of the lads had a good tournament. I couldn't believe it when Micah Richards was left out in place of Glen Johnson and Martin Kelly but I think Glen Johnson was actually one of our best players in the end so credit to Hodgson for picking him. John Terry had a great tournament too although he's getting slower by the minute so it's a good job he's got a couple of quick full-backs to cover for his odd lapse in concentration.
Parker and Gerrard were a good partnership all tournament although both were getting extremely tired in the end and we had no experienced players to give them a rest like Barry or Lampard.
Rooney was our least effective forward. I thought Carroll looked good when he came on last night and scored a cracking goal against the Swedes. Welbeck was good in patches but needed Rooney to be on top form to give him the confidence to enjoy himself.
Joe Hart is immense, I thought he'd save at least one pen last night. Possibly the most valuable goalkeeper in the world at the moment when you take his young age into consideration. If he stays injury free he could be our all time most capped international at the end of his career.

But to bad England lost, they def have potential with walcot and chamberlain on the left & right flank.
