    How to add 'Lightning'?

Hey, im in the middle of making an extreme track, ive got the environment perfect, its raining its dark & its thundering, i just need one more thing, lightning...
Does anyone know how i can make lightning?
For now all ive dont is ive got a pointlight on an impulse and it goes off every few seconds, or i thought i could maybe use triggers?
Like, one activates it, (the light) then literally right next to it is another trigger which switches it off. Its basically a flash, its looks good but i was just wondering if there was any other way?
    Thanks guys!

This is how i did it the first time like youve described.trigger..activate,off,activate etc
    up the creek..check it out..
it worked well with the thunder sound source..

The flash thing is definitally (<-Screw grammar) what you want to use....but just use one trigger like this:
    1. hook trigger to light event to turn light on
    2. hook the light event to a delay filter
    3. hook delay filter to new light event to turn off

this way the rider can't stop in between the triggers and cause a weird, blinding, constant light

Never thought about it.. Is the largest electricity variation too small? You dont want to distract or distort from the driving line.. Thats a tough one man, goodluck.. Im sure someone here will know, could be real cool.. I was thinking of a camera with a grayscale effect on impulse, but thats just a theory ive never tried it.. Use an OPE with an impulse custom cam? Just a guess! It might need to be disabled if it even works.. Could get annoying.

    Re: How to add 'Lightning'?

If you want lightning like in my track Fever Swamp (here's the youtube LINK, it's about 1/2 way through and at the end as well.

Here's how it works: set up a bunch of variation 3 electricity-trigger box->impulse splitter, which goes to effect event set to TOGGLE and impulse delay set to about 30ish. effect event goes to all the deactivated electricity turning them on. 30 ticks later it cuts them off through the delay filter back to the SAME effect event set to toggle, from the same initial impulse. Also the splitter goes to activate the sound for it and makes an explosion. You can apply this idea however you want, as in you can do the same with just flashing lights replacing the EFFECT EVENT with LIGHT event (set to toggle).

    Hope this helps!
