I ask this as i prefer to use the d-pad to eliminate accidently dead-zone triggers, but some people have said the A-stick has more precision![]()
Is one better than the other?
Why do they not function the same?
Is it just a preference that people have or does it really make a difference?

All I use is a, b, x, y.

Just try using the A-Stick for several days. The A-Stick has so much more range of control I don't know why people would want the D-Pad to have an advantage over it.. Well, actually they want it so they can have an advantage, but that's another story.
