I relax in my recliner, make sure the volume is just right, not too loud, not too quiet. I need to hear the engine noise in order to slowly climb some of those hills, like that wooden log in The Truth is out There. Also, and I know this might be weird, but I have to 'use the force' in order to go all hardcore and beat times or win in Hardcore Trials. I literally take a deep breath, relax all my muscles, and say 'use the force' in my head. Sometimes I even imagine Obi Wan saying it. That's mega nerdy, I know, but it helps. Sometimes I get what I call 'Trials-itis'. That's when you're trying to improve a time, or just beat an custom extreme or something, and for some reason you keep getting worse and worse, until you can't even do the first checkpoint without faulting. When that happens, use the force.

I sometimes have to ask the Walrus if I can play Trials. He makes a strange gargle sound at me. He's a nice walrus though, I wouldn't dare annoy him.
I annoyed him, he then proceeded to hug me.Originally Posted by NovaDarkStorm

Weed? Same here. I think I play better with it. This doesn't really make sense but I've had my best platinum runs when stoned. And music, of course.
If my stereo TV is muted, I cant concentrate much on driving or editing.
I want the evo music so loud as I can! And for sure, no kiddos playing in the lounge.
I'ts very rarely that the lounge is quiet while it's very large and many peoples.
