Camera help
Hey guys,
When you start a track, the default camera slowly pans in towards the rider as the start counter ticks down.
Anyone know how to stop this happening?

Re: Camera help
Hey, try using a custom camera right at the start.. Can be a bit tricky to line it up but should work.

Re: Camera help
It's ok, I sorted it by playing around with the interpolation settings. Thanks anyway

Re: Camera help
Really.. Whats that do? Ive just been living with the pan in, and custom cameras seem to be a bit static (dont move much) reguardless of settings.

Re: Camera help
It sets how quickly (or not) the camera keeps up with the rider. Low settings means the camera lags behind, high means the camera matches rider movement exactly. I decided in the end that this made it feel too weird, so now I've changed my track so that the pan in doesn't matter any more.
Before, the pan in meant you saw bits of the track you wern't meant to, that's why I wanted to remove it.
For the custom cameras interpolation is how quickly the view changes from the default camera to the custom one.
In order to move custom cameras you need to use either physics or an OPE I believe. Otherwise the default camera will have to make do.

Re: Camera help
I see.. My default camera seems to pan in and then it drops to where I actually have it.. Kind of bothering me.. Ill try those settings.

Re: Camera help
Unchecking the "Assisted" checkbox also removes the camera pan, you could then use the start checkpoint as a trigger to turn it on again when the game begins.
Dammit, why didn't I think of that last night!
