After MANY requests I have made a lite version of TurtlePower, Goodluck to all!!
Welcome to my World, No seriously, I have enjoyed many of your tracks and I have made a solid effort to produce some good tracks for you guys, So far I have a few that do not disappoint, with a few more in the works.
NOW IN 1080i
I just got this card and I am learning how to use it so the videos will not be perfect at first but please stay tuned for more!!
GT: TurtleIsSlow
NOTE: You will NOT find the so called Ninja tricks that have absolutely flooded Track Central but not to worry. They are tons of fun, IF you can get through them in the first place.
SO FAR:
Basic Skill TEST/ Hard
This is what it is called. I have decided to make a short and sweet Basic track, I consider Hard Difficulty, Average player should get through with about 25-50 faults first play through. Not crazy hard but not a walk in the park either.
TurtlePower_v final/ NINJA
This will put your skills to the test. It has 3 Ninja level areas to bypass, Plenty of checkpoints to keep you on your way, MOST WILL NEVER SEE ANY FARTHER THEN THE FIRST TWO STUNTS/CHECKPOINTS, GoodLuck Riders. Your gonna need it.
TurtlePower_lite (7/5/2012)
After many requests for a lite version, Well here it is, ENJOY!!
This was my second track built today (6/19/2012), I put a higher level of background and scene work into this one. Hope you like it, Remember: if you can't make it through it you can watch my replay/controls for how it is done!!
I beat all of my own tracks with a recorded score so you all know I don't make anything I can't beat myself!
Hey, don't read the following txt with an angry tone, i'm not trying to be mean at all,Originally Posted by TurtleIsSlowit even sounds angry to me...sorry bout that
Ok, sooooo...Won't find "so called ninja tracks" huh? Your second track is a Ninja...did I miss something? I'm confused...and just what is an "average rider" to you anyway? because it seems your "average rider" is freakin' above average...by alot...the beginning half of "Basic Skills" is border-lining Ninja as it is, though the second half is closer to the Hard track range....the "TurtlePower_v1.1" is surely a Ninja track, no doubt, but the scenery looks like you took a bunch of random crap and decided to throw it in the map haphazardly...and lastly, OF COURSE WE KNOW YOU CAN FINISH YOUR TRACKS!! You have to finish them to upload them, remember?
You slightly miss quoted, I said Ninja Tricks, not tracks; allow me to clue you in what I mean. Roughly more than 3/4 of the "NINJA" tracks that I have downloaded thus far all have the same tricks, Just looks a little different is all or a different sequence. Not one or two stunts/tricks mind you: like 90% of almost the entire tracks, SAME thing over and over. such as handle bar slides, wheel slides, reverse wheelie, nose wheelie, back tire grabs.... You all know what I am talking about here, not that those tracks are bad at all. Don't get me wrong, just stating that my tracks are a breath of fresh air is all. Surely I am not alone when it comes to liking new things.Originally Posted by Ninjamasta24
As far as random items, well it is only my second track and I am getting the hang of the editor, which has a huge learning curve. I only aim to give everyone something to look at while they try to figure out the drive line. Not perfectly made themes, not yet at least. I do hope you enjoyed it though.
By beating them myself this is what I mean, I see far, far to often people put unrealistic times and goals for the medals that they themselves can not possibly get. All the medals are obtainable, realistically. Lets people see the replay as well: there is no replay if you don't play it after the upload, no official time for yourself, If I built a board that I can only barely beat myself why should anyone take that board seriously?
Often I am faster by a long shot then the times I put up for the medals of my own tracks as I know I am better than average( not bragging just gives those not as fast a better chance is all). On the other hand, some people like those boards that only 25 or so people in the world could possibly beat.
Please keep in mind that this does NOT apply to all maps and creators, I am simply speaking on what I personally feel is occurring as a trend and only wish to let people know my opinion on the matter is all, while offering challenging courses at the same time.
Thanks for reply, There is no such thing as bad criticism if you look at right....
Oh, lol "Tricks" not "Tracks".....I'm blind![]()
Makes since now, thanks for taking the time to explain it![]()
No worries my friend, as stated above sometimes a good criticizer can set those on a bad path on the right one, Glad to see you did at least try themI only hope you liked them enough to look out for my future tracks and give them a shot. I believe I will put a poll thread up to see if they are too hard, just right or lame easy. Just to see where my future tracks should be headed. Thanks again for your input

Hey man, played your more difficult one. Turtle Power I think its called. Its refreshing to see some well balanced ninja obstacles. They all felt fair, didnt use silly bike/tire tricks, and none stood out as overly easy or difficult compared to the rest of the track. Props there.
I wouldnt worry about how difficult the track is, you will always find an audience who appreciates a well made track. Ninja tracks are not for everyone, but there is a group of people who enjoy them. I hope you dont shy away from them to simply appeal to the masses.
A few critisisms, things to take into consideration for future projects.
1. NinjaMaster already touched on this, but the track seemed like a bunch of random objects kinda stacked together. Creating a more cohesive environment goes a long way. You environment wasnt horrible, I can tell it was a small group of buildings, but there is a lot you can do to make it more believable as a real place. Little things, I saw some baskettball hoops in the middle of nowhere, but it was just on grass or dirt. No cement slab, no pathway to it, no fence around it, no benches or anything around it. You get where I am going here, think of all the little things that would go along with what you put onto the screen.
2. The curves. I have no issue with a track that has curves. I also give props since you didnt have any silly midair or mid obstacle curves. But some of them were so sharp that the tires started to glitch and wierd out. No reason for that.
3. The flow. Yeah, flow is not as important with these kind of tracks, but it doesnt hurt to allow the most skilled riders to try and carry from one obstacle into the next with a fluid motion if they are good enough. Some of your checkpoints had fairly long stretches of flatland between them which means speeding up then coming to a halt for the next bit. I get you have a tightly packed area with lots of going in and out and you need spots where the rider turns around, but this goes all the way back to the beginning planning of the track.
I may go back to this track, I am certain I can 0 fault it. More importantly though, I look forward to more.
Yeah, Jook has a point with the scenery. You'll want to explain why things are there or how they could be there....example: A Floating platform with no supports stands out, if you add supports it makes more since why it's there, and people don't think about it much. Funny thing is, by explaining why things are there, you make them over-look-able and people don't always remember them. I guess that's what people want...scenery that doesn't distract them from the track...? idk....anyway, since i'm gonna keep typing in a way that would make my english teacher ashamed of me, I do look forward to some future tracks from you, hopefully some I can finish too![]()
Thanks for the feedback guys, I will have a few hours to tinker with it tonight and I will work on the things mentioned, I hope to have a Final version by the morning. Due to the tracks paths crossing over itself so many times I had a hard time not getting the tires to do that but as you stated that's why I do not have any stunts on or near them. As for future tracks I plan to have more length in the tracks making this no problem at all. I have been working on physics and such but it is way different than HD so I will have to get my ducks in a row before unleashing something off the wall like my HD tracks.
I am pleased to see more people are beating it now, I suppose until I have a name out there for building I will just have to step up and make good tracks so the better EVO riders will take notice and start to want to play my tracks as well. Again many thanks, I am off to try to make it look as good as it is challenging.![]()
Good news for those who have been waiting, It is complete!!! Good luck to all, Now I need to get started on my next one.
TurtlePower_vfinal: I Zero Faulted this today!!
The map is unchanged other than a few changes to the third checkpoint area, which was changed to make it not look as if it were just floating in space. Lots of visual changes not affecting the drive line to much. Some areas are a little more forgiving but it is not any easier, NOTE: I did not make this track easier in any way: But rage quit is what drives us all right?![]()
Well I have received several messages over Xbox live about trying to get videos up of my tracks so after many hours of digging and re-installing my old Dazzle SD I finally have videos of my tracks thus far, I do currently have a Hard and an extreme track in the works. I hope by getting a glimps of the tracks to get some more of you guys to give it a shot and give me some feed back. Thanks for all the support thus far and I look forward to many people beating my times!!![]()
