we havent played amazing football and we havent been all that solid at the back either but most teams besides germany have under-performed so far. im not confident against italy but i wouldnt write them off yet.

I hope England wins the match against Italy. Germany - England is always great And whoever will win that match will most likely have to play Spain in the finals.

The biggest problem england face now is the media. Before the euros they laid off because they rightly had low expectations and didnt expect much from us. We havent played well yet...not really....we defend well but thats our best point...we frustrate the opposition but its no fun to watch lol. Now we have topped the group the media are all over it...and therefore pressure will mount and our boys cant take it.

Imo we are a very average team and when we come up against some strong opposition we will crumble. The press will pile too much expectations on the lads unless Hodgson declares a media blackout (which would be very wise). Id love us to win it but realistically i dont think we will...our matches have been pretty boring mostly...we have no flair about us which is what i personally enjoy about football.

Thought we started of poor against Ukraine, but after half time we seemed to be all over them, always takes us a while to get into a game, we need to get stuck in straight away!
Don't know what was going on with Rooney that day either, he was lucky to get that header in IMO

and against france we started each half well and tailed off towards the breaks.

@don- does it not work out an england v germany final, and spain in the semis? i havent looked at it properly.

I have a love/hate thing going with England in football, but vs Italy there's no question I'm rooting for you guys, even after what you did to us.
