Well done england..looking like a strong team

Defensively we're brilliant. Attacking we're average at. We're also poor in possession.

The thing that annoys me is how miserable the players are. Every other team that has gone through has been running around the pitch jumping for joy, but our players were just moping around like we lost.

Well done none the less, I guess.

I didn't think so. The needed two lucky deflections to put the ball in, and ukraine was robbed of that one goal. They moved on, but i wouldn't say strong. My team, Spain, didn't look that strong either though. Haven't seen france other than their england game, so not sure who germany is facing in the finals.

the one thing I would say about this england team,is that we look like we have actually sorted our defensive line out.the back four always seem to know where each other is for a change.
we've got Italy next which will be tough.Italian football IMO is very skillfull in comparison to ours..

we've topped the group but only with a bit of luck and a shaky french team. i think its the weakest england squad on paper for a long time but they seem to work as a team better than when the squad was full of so-called superstars.

i think rooney is seriously over-rated for england and im sick of seeing/hearing about him. id much rather see him stick with carroll and welbeck up front and start theo instead of milner.

i think we were solid against france but not strong, resilient against sweden but not solid and very average against ukraine tonight but got lucky. with italy, spain and germany down the line... thats not good enough but we do always step it up against better opponents. should be an interesting quarter-final

Got very lucky so far this tournament playing against mediocre teams. Might scrape past Italy but will definitely be found out against Spain or Germany. Took a fluke goal and an unfairly dissallowed goal to top the group. Can't wait for the English media to go crazy about how amazing their team is and then be shown up.

a draw wouldve seen us top the group and ukraine go home even if their goal was allowed but i take your point. even i think we're a slightly-above-average team with the expectations of a top-flight team.

i dont think we've got that lucky though, we definitely deserve to go through and i think if we can score 3 against sweden and france cant score any then why shouldnt we top the group not them.

we havent played amazing football and we havent been all that solid at the back either but most teams besides germany have under-performed so far. im not confident against italy but i wouldnt write them off yet.

Yeah..i agree..other teams have defos underperformed..im not confident that we will win the tournament,but i hope we do well...the younger players have performed well above their expected standard i think..

Can't understand why Milner plays in front of Walcott but Woy seems to know what he's doing and you can't argue with 7 points.

I think Italy will just do their usual and keep it tight, probably win 1-0.
