    BDs update to the wondering.

Some friends and other people have asked me what the hell im doing, I havent released a track in 3-4 weeks, and friends and my few fans are all just

I thought it over, and I have to say that Im in the brink of stopping track creating. The Evo editor in its all mighty glory is just too... mighty. It takes me insane amounts of times to even think of a theme and acctually build the track, and decorate it.

Dont get me all wrong here I know that alot of builders, if not all of them, use huge amounts of time, because they do. I in particular just dont find building fun anymore. it has become a pain, not something fun to work on. I just dont find it worth my time to build, because its not enjoyable. A track that some random guy made in 5 minutes, (staircases) gets 20 000 downloads, but when I spend 30 hours tuning, fixing, testing and tweaking, it gets 700 downloads. Dont call me a download *****, but it would be nice to have some motivation to keep torturing myself. When DLC comes out... idk, we'll see...

I have 1 Work in progress, which I will release today or later, after my trip to London. After that, Ill probably do much more speedrunning, and play mp.

So yeah, to all those people who have played, rated, and liked my tracks in evo, or HD: Thank you.

I can totally see where you are coming from...its an overwhelming piece of kit this here editor..and TC definitely has its little annoyances...you make good tracks too and it sure is a kick to the creative testicles when a floating staircase gets such attention. I decided to only use the editor for my own enjoyment...its a great way to chill out and just create a picture...a vista with a track in it...something i like. Sometimes i will share it and sometimes i will just create and delete...the chilled out music and relaxing nature of the editor are just what i need after a long day at work and a teething 7 week old girl

Have you tried just stepping back from it and looking at it as a game in itself
...a world building game or something like that? May not be your bag...but you have skillful lines in your tracks and maybe if you took pressure off yourself you would enjoy it more?

Blazing mate,if thats how you feel, then have a chill oof the editor for a bit..dont feel pressured mate cos i think that this causes writers block so to speak...ive had nearly 4 weeks out n im raring to go again..i feel fresh n sharp again.i built 9 tracks back to back n started getting sloppy cos i felt pressured by myself to get them out quick.ive learnt from that now.in a few weeks when i get back on evo, i cant wait to getstuck in.but im going to really chill n take my time..theres a **** load of custom tracks i need to play after viewing everyones amazing work recently...
Dont give up mate..a break is as good as a holiday..

Theres always other video games and real life architecture as inspiration.. I cant tell you how many times I've started a track after evo came out just because I saw a photo or some kind of building in a game that gave me ideas.. and the track can still be unrealistic with realistic asthetic feel, its great. Ill say I take my time now, refuse to feel rushed.. Its not a career so dont restrict it like deadline art.. Release tracks when you can IF youre wanting to share them.. And remember anything and everything is inspiration, in the right frame of mind. Not just track building, something I strongly believe in.

Emcee is right nobody likes a kick in their creative testicles.

Hopefully when TrialsEvolution.net is up and running it will be a lot easier to find the truly well designed tracks. Unfortunately most of the people that are voting on these tracks don't actually know what a good track should feel like. They don't appreciate the effort and time it takes to set up a track that flows well for multiple different speeds and play styles.

No different to being a musician and seeing Bieber and Rihanna at the top of the charts or a great indie film-maker looking at the box office statistics for Transformers. This is unfortunately the world we live in and quality creative work will always be a niche. It is a problem that goes way beyond the realms of Trials, people are generally ignorant, stupid and narcissistic so the way I see it with any creative endeavour is that you either aim squarely at the lowest common denominator (Rihanna, Transformers, early RedLynx picks, etc) or you accept that you're aiming at the niche market of people who actually admire quality and subtlety. There are exceptions to this but they are few and far between sadly. All you have to do is take more than a cursory look at politics, religion, Tv, whatever, to understand how little the praise of the masses actually means. The best reward is internal satisfaction and nothing anybody says or does will ever help you achieve that or lose it. Good luck man

    Hey blazingdude,

Some simple ninja tracks with your signature would be great, we are missing those in Trials Evolution. Dont worry to much about all the editor features: I for one played your tracks for the obstacles you came up with. If its all to overwhelming: put down some warehouses and build your tracks inside those
