glitch: invisible collision blocks on certain objects | Forums

anyone else ran into the problem with certain objects having invisible blocks pop-up on them every now and again, seemingly for no reason at all? by this i mean a completely clean spot on the driving line on-top of these objects will have a block of invisible collision (like the custom collision object) pop up on them suddenly.

so far the culprits have been the gas tank and the fat, flange-less variation of the evo skinny pipe. this is not just from personal experience, but from hearing the exact same thing on the exact same objects from other track designers and seeing it in action in a variety of in-progress & finished tracks. these objects seem to put a bug into the driving line, as you can make the gas tank/pipe objects decoration only and fill their space with a custom collision object, and still have the random invisible block pop up. it won't happen every time, but its not hard to cause it just by rocking back and forth on these objects and boom, you suddenly have an invisible block behind, in front, or underneath you.

no idea if this is some side-effect from track/room complexity as there is alot of that in this game, but it is very annoying and problematic in certain track situations.

I believe this happens on the gas tank about half way through Bridge of Trials. I often hit an invisible little bump on top of it for no reason. The same thing occasionally happens in one of my tracks where I used a gas tank as an obstacle.

Just a glitch I guess.
