hey guys have just completed a hill climb skill game track and to record the height and time i have set it to end game on bail out or crash, is this the right way to do it as i have watched some of the riders replays and they seem to crash at the start of the game on the first ramp and then take that height and time and not bother playing it again, I'm not sure why u would bother to play for 1 second??????????? is this just to get the pass on the track and get a bronze medal or why????? or have i set it up wrong in a way where they can just quit easily, i have one checkpoint at the very end of the track that also ends the game. i have put a good amount of effort into this track and really want riders to try to get as high as they can and see the whole track? anyone know of other ways i could have set this up or did i do it right and are the riders just not bothering???? thanks, if u want to try its platform perils, GT is Mentalhobbit thanks guys, feedback welcome, would love some pointers from the pros, cheers
The reason why the rider crashing at the beginning could be due to the replay glitch, in which the bike crashes in the replay when in actual fact it didn't crash when they set that record, but i don't know much about the editor so can't help you on that front.
But u love hill climbs and will be happy to play it and give you feedback
Ok firstof all, it was a nice hill climb. It's good to see something different than the normal hills, and that you actually made the effort to build the obstacles yourself
Plywood isn't the best material to make a hill climb out off, it's hard to grip your back wheel when hopping onto them, but can add to the difficulty i guess.
Also, the log that falls and nearly hits your head if you don't go fast enough is a big no-no. Anything that affects the driving line is not good at all.
But overall, i did enjoy it, the scenery was really good, how you based it in and around the tree's, added to the theme, very clever.
Lastly, where i faulted, with the wind turbine things shooting you up, is that the end of the map or is there more? Couldn't quite figure out what to do when i got there, if there is more to the track, some signs suggesting there is more ould be a great help. There's nothiing more frustrating than getting high up to a point you havn't been before, faulting because you doon't know what to do, then having to climb it all again to give it anoother shot
hey elements, thanks for the feedback, appreciate it, no there is a lot more to the track after that, it goes up a fair bit more, there is a platform up to the right of the wind turbine. thanks for the tips, please have another go, would like to know ur opinion on the rest of the track, cheers
Anyway of specifically doing it? That obstacle is a bad addition to the track, i go up it and my bike randomly blows up for some reason? (Look at my replay) Looks like you should of tested that a bit more, or is there a certain technique to do it that i havn't figured out? Maybe i'm going over it too fast?Originally Posted by hobs3
