That could be extremely cool. I'd love to be able to collab on tracks with people, if only for the fun aspect of it. May need to look into this a bi tmore one day and see if its doable. Thanks for the answer!Originally Posted by WILLYUMZ
Yes, but we would have to be using the same account. This is possible by recovering the account each time, like people used to do in HD.Originally Posted by Barrybarfly

LMAO! Well, lets hope more people find out about this, as so often I see a good line with poor scenery and good scenery with a poor line. So collabing on a track would really help some people and just be really fun for others imo.Originally Posted by Oski
i have been thinking about this for a while now. most builders have strengths and weakness, some guys are good at flow, others logic, others decorations. this could really open doors if it worked like that.
What about Allow Track to be viewed in the editor as a concept.. The track creator would have to allow when uploading.. But you can only do with it as an example track, cannot modify tweak or save.. it would just load up editor style. Would be a huge thing to implement but it would definitely answer builder's burning questions, I think.
Ive always wanted this feature, i get alot of friends asking me how i created certain objects or how i got an object to move/annimate like that. Showing someone in the editor exactly how you did something would be much easier than to try and write an essay for him/her.Originally Posted by ANTWANthePAWN
However redlynx already have the example tracks which basically cover everything you need to know about animation/physics, plus the tutorial videos pretty much explain everything to good detail.
If you want to show your friends how you made a certain object, use a camera![]()
I totally agree, too. Just to be able to view the track in a "read only" mode in the editor would be great. That way the track cannot be used as a base for a new track, but people can see how some of the more complex things were done. Essentially if the gamertag looking at the track in the editor != the original author, don't allow the track to be saved. I'd also vote for some way to export objects that people fabricate and/or several new pre-made fabrications in any future DLC. I can understand people not wanting to release some of their objects publicly, however. But I'd bet the community on the whole would be willing.Originally Posted by ANTWANthePAWN
On that note, why not have a "Community Example Tracks" module in Track Central? The community member would set an "example" flag in the track properties prior to uploading to Track Central, then other community members would be able to reuse anything they'd like from that particular track. Prefabs, functions, etc. This would also let authors create psuedo-asset packs. Those with lots of favorites that they'd like to share would simply place them in a track, save as an example, and upload. Another user would download that track, select the grouped object they want, then save it to their own favorites. They can then use that favorite in a different track they're creating.
There are other benefits to this method, too. Say for example someone re-creates the "Delivery" (aka Bomb Cart) skill game from Trials HD. They could simply upload a blank track with just the rider, cart, bombs and logic and other players could create levels around this logic, meaning several different Delivery skill games set in different environments. I could see that working for all the Trials HD skill games in particular. Someone "writes the code" but doesn't want to recreate the level pixel perfect, but someone else doesn't want to write the code, only place the objects. It's a win-win for cooperative track building.
