Track complexity issues - Physics object issues - Limitation

I have made several tracks that have been gradually more and more complex and have come to a bit of a brick wall with the complexity being pretty much full bar when there isn't really a huge amoung of stuff going on.

Plus: there are gamer created download tracks that have an amazing amount of background complexity and alot of stuff (on riders line) going on as well, yet there is no lag...

    Additionally:

I have a level (uploaded ) that was only half the total complexity yet I get a warning saying 'Maximum ammount of physics objects has exceeded in this area. Some objects do not have physical bodies and can be driven through!' (the USS SULACO

    just one more thing...

Lighht issues: if you do have a dark track, you can't put very many lights in,until straining/pixelating?

I need a list of possible lag/complexity reducing tips please.

Please add me and check out my tracks and give me your honest opinion. I'm Fruity Gudness, My track Heavy Machinery has currently had 32,836 downloads, is rated 5 star and 3154 ratings...

    Lastly...

how one might get a track up to the redlynx picks consideration etchelon?

Trials Evolution is by far one of the best games I have ever played. I gave up warcraft for this shizzle...

Have you made a bunch of the background objects "Decoration only"? Do it by going into the advanced physics of any object.

Do you play with the view distance sliders?

Certain objects, mainly fire, emit lights. If you use more than a few of them you can run into issues. You can turn the lights off to help out.

If you have a lot of moving objects int the background, try to do as much of the animating as possible using Object Position Events instead of moving physics joints.

If you use a lot of lights, have as many turned off as possible. Use triggers to turn them on before you approach them. Use triggers to turn off lights behind you.

Hope some of this is of some help!

I want to know this too . I've been having a nightmare on my track with that same message and lag in a couple places I can't resolve...Things I have tried that may or may not help your situation.

*Make everything not on the drive line decoration only
*Lower max view distance and max object view distance (i saw improvements lowering max object but view distance didn't seem to do anything but make it more foggy)
*Turn of lights for deco objects like fire, torches, checkpoints, and even the bike headlamp.
*Using visibility event to hide part of the track either before or after it gets in your drive range (didn't notice much difference with this)
*Deleting the backside unseen parts of background objects (in my case it was walls of buildings I had put together)
*Limit the use of terrain mods

That's all I've tried and I still have problems so if anyone else has some tricks let's hear them! I'm thinking on my track there's one point where the curve wraps back around and you can see the earlier part of the track in the background is what's causing lag in my case...but what can you do about it?

Congratulations to Mr. Gudness on his new found fame in the REDLYNX fun picks!

I hope you have another track for us soon!

I can definately second the revered NovaDarkStorms recomemmendation. (impossible to add this guy as a friend tho#toopopular!

    Marvellous!
