Yeah...I don't understand it either...
I hadn't played any HC since it got fixed, so I went in, played one game/round, won both races, and won the overall.
Checked MP LB, it showed 1/1 and the points, so I thought ok...maybe it's working.
Went back in for another round, played against 3 others, won both races and overall, figured I'd check LB again...
WTF? It still shows I only played 1 game, with the same points as earlier....
So my second race doesn't count for anything?
I would be happier if there weren't any MP LB's , if they are not going to work properly...
EDIT: So I went back in to HC, played a game, made sure I lost, and sure enough...MP LB shows my loss!
Is it setup to record all losses and only some wins?
SO frustrating....
That's another issue. If anyone quits, the race isn't scored for the rest of the players. It's pretty much a throw away. So out of your two games, you only raced one in which all players stayed 'til the end.Originally Posted by Ahhme2

I don't recall anyone bailing on my second race set....but it is possible..
It might account for what I wrote in the EDIT above
This actually makes sense I guess, because we do get some points even for not coming in first place.Originally Posted by ThunderDuck

Crazy stuff.....
If it's true that you get no points if someone quits, then that's absolutely ridiculously absurd and downright pathetic. Imagine that in other games.. Fifa for instance, you're up 5-0 and your opponent quits in the 85th minute, and you don't get your 3 points.
However I can't believe they would implement something like this so I'm gonna wait for the green text ppl..
i think the leaderboards are a mix of how much you play and true skill.
but it shouldn't be, it should be 90% true skill.
Virtua Tennis 3 had it down to a tee. so did FIFA 11 quick match. completely true skiill based. well, as much as it can be.
i just don't see the point in leaderboards that depend on how much people play. the best players in the world should be top, simple as. if you beat 3 useless ragamuffins then you should get barely any points, if you beat 3 top players you should get a barrel full of points. and by the same token, if you lose to 3 useless players then you should lose lots of points.
it'd be like if you got points for every time you you finished an SP track, regardless of the time or medal. you would get points for besting your medal/time, but also get points simply for playing the track. the top players would be the decent players with 9 or 10 days playtime rather than the best players. unless the best players happen to play tons as well.
i don't think the leaderboards are too bad as they aren't completely based on playtime and there is definitely some true skill scoring going on. but defo could be improved. and i hope the quitting thing isn't true.
Hmm

Yes, a world of sense making.
Do you get the same amount of points for a win in private mp as you do in public? Cos if private mp still tracks win/loss but doesn't give as many points that could explain some strangeness in the leaderboards. But then I don't really play private mp so I don't know.
