Hey guys, I was trolling through the forums and came across a post in the "Deep Guide to the Editor" informing of the possibility to use variations of ramps and data sources to create a "curling" effect.
I've tried using 'Variation Events' and 'Curved Data Sources' and 'Set Value Event' with no luck, I'm really curious about all the possibilities of this but need some guidance..
Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for any feedback.
If there is four variations for example that would equate to 0-3 in the curve data source. Attach the variation to the data source, set the time in the data source, maybe change the type from linear to something else to your liking. If you want it to loop, check looping and invert second half so it doesn't jump.Originally Posted by ZigZach5o8

Thanks for the info Luke!
Just to clarify so I know I'm understanding correctly..
I should place the 'ramp' on DL, and attach a 'curved data source/sine' ect.. with the "start = 1, end = 3"?
I'm about to head back into the Editor now, so I'll let you know how I make out. Thanks again Luke.
That was my post in the other thread. I did some of these in my track Absinthe, but you should know that the ramps curl with the center of the curve fixed. In one spot this worked for me, and in another I ended up making a bunch of ramps and just made them appear in order.
To do it with variations, remember that the first variation is numbered 0.
