Rider 'bouncing' while on Physics Joint 'Slider' - SOLVED

Hey all - For my next reincarnation of a 'Panel Madness' (of which the starting area is the only common component), I am having some problems with an 'elevator'.

My elevator weights exactly 10,000kg. Linear motor is ON. Target velocity is 1350, and Applied force is 5000. Range is -30.000 to 30.000 metres. The Slider is not vertical - The panel goes up and right at 30 degrees from horizontal (about the same angle as a forward slash "/").

So, when the rider is just about to land on the elevator, physics is applied via means of an area trigger and physics state event. As the elevator rises (runs for about 2.25 seconds), the rider 'bounces'.

Paying close attention, it appears as if the wheels of the bike get pushed up by the platform however the entire remainder of the bike frame AND suspension lag behind resulting in a spring like effect. Looking really close, it appears as if the connection between the front and rear axle of the wheel and connection suspension is broken, fixed, broken, fixed, broken, fixed till the elevator stops.

I've used heaps of physics joints and just randomly played with setting and made random stuff to help me understand physics joints. I think I have a pretty good grasp of how they work. But this problem - I'm stumped.

I need help with this, My track is coming along well and this is going to be a fairly integral part of the overall flow consistency.

Hmmm, I would suggest making the force as low as possible (without compromising the speed you want or anything) and see if this solves it. Maybe even try making the lift lighter, in order to really drop the force required. Not sure if this will work or not, but might be worth trying.

how about setting up a variable to adjust the damping on the bike while on the lift?

I'll have a play again later. I'll send you a party request Das later an have a chat about it.

Thanks to Dasraiser for the help last night.

SOLUTION: Problem was that somehow I had copied and paste the entire Glue Group Of objects and all associated PJs, triggers etc. Probably something to do with me having made all of them Group Objects.

Anyway, numb-nuts me figured it out.
