the problem with TC as we know is its refresh rate. how quick the good tracks can drop off the radar. things have bin added and they work well but eventualy suffer the same problem. what i think would be nice is a one shot list. that highlight the best tracks. something along the lines of best tracks of the month. these would be voted on by the players but the list would only be refreshed once a month. but, now heres the real change, this list has to be ....... veted i think is the word, by redlynx. like redlynx picks but with more tracks and a longer period before the change in content. say 300 cool tracks have been produced in a space of two weeks. many of these would dissapear or bad ones would stay in the highest rated section far longer than they are worthy. if out of these 300, say 200 recived communitty votes for the "best of the month" list. this could be narrowed down by how many votes they each recieved. this would then creat say a list of 50 - 100 tracks. if redlynx then checked out this 50 - 100 tracks themselves and picked the best 50 and put them on "the list" , theres your first "best list". when it comes to pick the next list, no tracks will be present from the old list, therefore it would not get stuck with the same rubbish (golf) over and over. now then. if a player had downloaded all 50 tracks they would be invited to vote on their fave and the next player and so on. the tracks with the most votes here would be added to another new, permanent list of "best of all time tracks". as so chosen by the community. this way the real gems out there would not get lost and would be available for old and new players alike. from a list of guarantied quility. granted the size of the team actualy available to play tracks and the time neede to do so would dictate the refresh rate of these list but you get the idea. maybe a select few of the community chosen by redlynx could be the test team and that would solve the man hours thing but this is what it hink we need. a list of guarantied quility chosen by the select, trusted few.

This would take massive amounts of time and coordination for a monthly project. It would be like running a fairly large contest every month.

The search function sucks, putting it bluntly. We need more pages to view and if redlynx wont do that they should atleast make searching for tracks easier. Even if you add search by track name dont make it capitalization and character accurate.. If I looked up funland and it was spelled Funland it wouldnt show, which is rather silly.
yes a search by track name would be good.
