I think the best way to look at it is how annoyed people get when a game is released and things don't work properly and then you need to wait for a patch.
As gamers this is one of the most annoying things so when it comes to bugs in tracks it is just as irritating.
Moral is you can NEVER test too much. When you think it's done, it probably isn't.
To be fair though, we ARE making this stuff for free, just pointing that out.

Well, most of us are anyway.

I agree, no amount of testing is ever enough.... but if we all followed that principle, there would be no tracks available for download at all.

Also, I was asking more about testing skill games with friends... or suggesting some sort of "beta" or "friends only" release option would be nice.

[quote="EuphoricFusion"]Online private testing is for tracks only and not skill games unfortunately.

You CAN have your friends test your skill games online. Save a 2nd copy of your skill game, name it test or beta, or fred, who cares. Change the game type from skill game to trials, and re-save. Then load that version in your multi-player lobby.

Of course, doing this will disable some (but not all) features. My distance beta version still measured, as did my height. You need to test with people of different skill levels to get a more accurate view of what is too hard, or too easy.
    Hope that helps.
