Obviously to release it
However, sometimes the star ratings just aren't enough to really get good information to improve on your work.
Is there a good way to get critique and tips from the community just spamming your track all over the message boards in hopes that the track quality outweighs your annoyance?

Some people have a single thread that is like their own announcement board for their tracks. It's not a bad place to start. Put up a new thread in User-created tracks to promote your game and add to it everytime you post something to TC. If you are known to make something good people will check in when they see you have a new game/track.
However, I find the best feedback is from people on here that are nice enough to test out my tracks in private multiplayer matches. If you have a skill game that uses the bike you could save it as a trials track and test it online with others for instant feedback. If it's more complicated you will have to upload it before you can get any feedback.
If you are interested there is already a thread about mutual track testing and feedback.

If you send me a message on LIVE I'll try out your track. GT - Luthanick
I've got to the stage now that if someone has one thread I'll check it out. If they have 6 threads (one per track) I pay them no attention purely because it is effectively spam as it moves other peoples "inventory" thread further down the forum needlessly.
Also, if I play a track and see the creators name on the forum, I will always check to see if they have a thread on here so I can leave feedback for them.
There's also an added advantage in that when you bump your thread for a new track release, you effectively bump ALL your tracks. So there's another chance for people to see it if they missed it the first time.Originally Posted by Barrybarfly![]()
Its also a handy way for people to "tag" your thread so that they are aware of when you upload a new track. So many advantages to keeping your tracks in one thread imo.Originally Posted by James24993
