Well what about high deffs? there is a photo showing his 2 accounts, why are they not removed?Originally Posted by ShiftySamurai
I understand that, which is why I've never really moaned at RedLynx to remove multi accounters. I'd rather just moan at the multi-accounts instead.Originally Posted by ShiftySamurai![]()
However, saying that can't this "F redlynx" get removed for the offensive nature of it's gamertag? I'd say it warrants a ban. I might report him several times over Xbox Live, see what happens.![]()
It's absolutely obviousOriginally Posted by ShiftySamurai16th in the world with 12hrs? Highdef even asked you to remove his scores..
If people report the offensive nature of his/her gamertag then they will be forced to change it. Just because we don't like a name doesn't mean that we'll just delete scores from the leaderboard.Originally Posted by T4KShadow
I am not a supporter of multi-accounting the leaderboards, but I know that some of the other RedLynx guys feel differently about it, equating it to an old arcade cabinet where the most epic of wins you could achieve was to knock every other name off of the high scores page.
In a game where there is literally global competition, most people would hope for a level of sportsmanship above the need to see their name on the boards multiple times, but, sadly, that's not the way that everyone who plays feels.
It's funny (in a sad way) that HighDEFF decided to do that after he made previous posts about how he wished disease on those who multi-account. It's really not a call for RedLynx to make.
@NonRedOrchid - Yes, it's obvious in that one instance, but then we would have to do our absolute best at removing every second (or third, fifth, seventieth) account that people use. What if someone decided that your scores were a second account from Euan (example)? Would we just up and delete your scores because we suspect that they were made by someone who already held a LB position?
The chance of removing someone's scores, when they haven't done anything, is too high for this to be a viable option.
(This post is totally my own thoughts/opinion and not that of RedLynx)
Thats the exact same stuff Jorma told me, but anyone with common sense would be able to tell, everyone in the community knows who these idiots are. If you can remove 1000's of MP leadorboards, then why not some others?
And what if there are people who don't frequent the forums and play on multiple accounts? Unless you are 100% able to remove all multiple accounts then it isn't fair and shouldn't even be thought of as an option.
Another example;
Bob and Jay are brothers with 1 shared XBL Gold membership. They both play Trials Evolution, but Bob is much better and gets top 10 times.
Bob moves out and gets a new Xbox and his own gold account.
Bob set all of the top 10 times on Jay's account, and now is setting more on his own. Bob is "guilty" of multi-accounting the LBs. Would we reset Jay's scores because Bob doesn't play on that account anymore? It's not as easy as everyone seems to think it is. If even ONE person using multiple accounts is left, then we fail. If we removed even one "legitimate" accounts scores, then we fail.
Well, you refuse to remove high deffs, with indisputable that he owns the account, there is even a photo! Then F Redlynx 11hrs = 16th? I don't think so His gamertag is even **** redlynx but there is no way he is a 2nd account right?
I think you may intentionally be missing my point, sir. Removing the accounts we know about wouldn't do anything about the accounts we don't know about (awkward wording).Originally Posted by Euan
This kind of thing would need to be handled by someone who is not me, but the same issues were present in Trials HD, and the team had different views on multi-accounting (as I said previously). If some of the guys don't even see it as cheating (or being a butt-monkey) then why would they want to "fix" it?
I know it's not the answer that a lot of you guys want, and I'm sorry for that, but I don't see any account's scores being deleted when they are based on legitimate runs and not modded or hacked in some way.
