    Re: New Mass Effect track!

Alright, this track is definitely a gimmick track. Overall it was alright. It definitely is a pretty cool idea to have 3 different routes to choose from and have them all eventually still end in the same spot. But, to be honest, that was about the extent of coolness in this track. Even what you did could've been done better IMO. I was just driving randomly and then all of the sudden the screen changes and I need to press a button on where to go. Maybe you could have lead the player into an elevator and then they could "press a button" that was LB, RB, or X and it would take them to whichever floor and they would continue on the course from there. Just a thought. Try to implement things like this much more smooth in future tracks.

Theme: The idea of the theme is great. And you definitely had some decent stuff that you created for it, but you had a LOT of blank area and definitely a lot of just kind of random objects or obstacles. I understand that you put some time in to making stuff, but when compared to a lot of other tracks, there just isn't nearly the detail that is placed into other ones. Towards the end there was also a checkpoint that when I restarted, the entire sky changed back to what it originally was, this is definitely an issue that should've been caught while testing. It doesn't affect gameplay at all, but it's just weird when the sky all of the sudden changes color.

Driveline: DON'T CHANGE THE CAMERA ANGLE. Seriously. There are very few times when changing the camera angle is actually beneficial to a track and improves the experience while riding it. Even though it's a gimmick track, it is SO frustrating when I can't do the simplest obstacle because the camera angle is awful. I understand you want it to look cool and all, but make it look cool when using the default camera angle. If you are unable to use the default camera angle properly, then change the environment/obstacle, NOT the camera angle.

Regardless of camera angle, however, the driveline just isn't that great. Even right off the bat in the beginning, giving us that much room before the first obstacle is just unnecessary. It's not fun having to gas super hard and then brake hard just so I can control myself for the first obstacle. Throughout the whole track, there are many times where there is a lot of flat ground followed by a random object stuck in the ground. This isn't much of a driveline. Create obstacles that flow into each other. As you make one obstacle, create the next one right after it so you can understand how the rider's momentum will carry them through to the next obstacle, and build it accordingly. Also, those pipes in the sky are not that fun. They are not put together smoothly at ALL which creates so many ridiculously random bumps to account for. Even if they were put together smoothly, it's still just a somewhat hilly kind of obstacle. Try to be a bit more creative with the obstacles next time.

Also about the driveline, add WAY more checkpoints. One obstacle. One checkpoint. That should always be the rule for absolutely any track. (Besides tracks like Gigatrack, but those are obvious exceptions). Maybe it was an issue with the was the track was designed, but more checkpoints would've been much nicer.

Other: Always make the ground as smooth as possible when it's supposed to be smooth. For example, inside the building, right before the awful camera angle change, there is this little bump in the floor and it can completely mess up what you're trying to do. Fixing little things like that before you release your track will make it 20 times better. Trust me.

Also, that obstacle that you fly through that is those circles rotating inside of each other. That was pretty cool. Just thought I'd say.

Overall, I'd have to give it 2.5*. I'm sorry for the low rating, but I feel like it's the correct rating for me because the issues I've had with it. Just try and take everything I said with a grain of salt and work your way onto another track. Good luck!
