every so often, after DEFINITELY selecting the phoenix or scorpion, it will give me the wrong bike in multiplayer
- usually the rattler.

after speaking with other people about it, some people get it aswell (though it seems not as often as me) and others have never had it happen since release. sometimes it also gives the pirahna/scorpion/donkey.

i can put up with all the other nonsense on this game because its the same for everyone,
but losing a game online after winning the first 2 rounds.. because the rattler can barely even finish archipelago never mind beat 3 phoenixs!... is just infuriating

Yes I have been getting the wrong bike in multiplayer sometimes too, and I'm 100% sure about this.

Oh and then shifty asked me something like:

did you touch the analog stick after you pressed "A"?

And after that i haven't touched the controller after I chose my bike, and it hasn't happened again.
Might be a coincidence, I don't know.

I reproduced this bug, shifty was right, if you move your analog after pressing A the game will give you the wrong bike.

Edit: doesn't seem to have any fefect on the donkey ,but i'm not sure

I have never had this problem. I always pick the bike i want then prep myself with the analog after the countdown begins.

I get this every f**ckin third game, and sadly sometimes win.

yep, ive been given the donkey a few times, after picking the phoenix.

It just through me the scorp on ridinghood and I dont even use analoug

its got nothing to do with whether youve moved the analog stick.

it happens to me a lot and ive tried not even touching it, just pressing A on the phoenix.. still does it.

most of the time i will move it to the donkey, back to the scorpion and then to the phoenix and let it settle for a second or so.. just so im 100% sure ive picked it and the analog stick isnt being a **** and suddenly zooming to the left and picking the rattler - it makes no difference.

its just a bug, probably the most annoying of all of them imo, and it needs fixing.

I have never seen this myself (played around 50 public matches in MP, mostly Supercross and Trials). I select the bike using the analog stick + A button. We haven't seen this problem during testing either. It's a bit mystery for us at the moment.

Some questions:
- How often does this happen on average for you?
- Does this occur in all multiplayer modes, or just some? (for example only in HC Trials)
- Is this completely random, or have you found it happens more in certain situations (for example you vote in the last second, etc)
- Do you vote in the track selection screen? (I always do, dunno how it would affect bike selection after it)
- Does this happen more often (or only) in certain tracks? (each track has different allowed bikes, so this might affect the bug)

after speaking to people in webchat, varing amounts per player. ive played roughly 180 games since release and it has happened to me around 40-50 times.

- Does this occur in all multiplayer modes, or just some? (for example only in HC Trials)

i cant play hc because of the error, but ive experienced it in both supercross and trials, and im pretty sure someone in webchat said they have seen it in hardcore too.

- Is this completely random, or have you found it happens more in certain situations (for example you vote in the last second, etc)

as its happened a lot to me, ive tried different things but never been able to replicate it.
ive tried waiting before choosing, ive tried choosing it immediately, ive tried not moving the stick at all and moving it around a lot before choosing but no consistent results - so i assume its random.

every time, usually very quickly.

cant really say. it happens quite often to me and i cant think of any particular tracks that ive seen it on more than others.
but its only ever been on one round out of 3. i used to think it was only ever on round 1 but ive seen it on the final round recently aswell (which is not fun).
