I have tried the short links, full links, embed links, etc etc and only get a white box... what am i doing wrong? Also I am using the youtubeHD tags.

To use the youtube tags, you need to supply the video ID number. It should should look like this:

{youtubehd}aIP7GUsufvw{/youtubehd} -- except with square brackets. The number is part of the youtube url.
